Just returned after 2 weeks at The fabulous Alpinresort ValSaa. Absolutely everything about the hotel is outstanding. My wife nearly cried when we entered the room, and when we opened the curtains and saw our view it was breathtaking. The five course evening meal, breakfast and daily nibbles, had everything you could wish for, the variety, taste and presentation were faultless. The hotel was immaculate in every sense, with stunning decor and ambience. The staff were an absolute credit to the hotel, so helpful in every way. My wife was slightly poorly whilst there, the lady behind reception organised a visit to a local doctors for us. A member of staff took us there and picked us up, and everyone was asking how she was throughout the holiday. I could go on and on but don't take my word for it. JUST BOOK IT you will not be disappointed. Saalbach is a beautiful scenic village. Austria is truly a stunning country we loved every minute. Many thanks to the owner and all staff for making our stay a holiday to remember, we will be back best wishes Clive and Karen Brown

Our week stay lived up to all the fantastic reviews we had read before booking. The location was perfect - short walk to bus stops for travel up and down the valley, short walk to ski lifts, short walk to bike hire, supermarket etc. The resort had a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All the staff were very helpful and happy to spend time giving advice. Our room was spacious and had a wonderful view of the mountains from the balcony. The facilities available throughout were excellent. Overall the all inclusive deal offered good value for money - the standard of food offered was impressive.

Difficult to fault the stay at this hotel - it was superb! Excellent central location close to lifts and bus services but despite this the hotel was quiet and relaxing. The staff were first class throughout being both friendly and professional, always keen to go the extra mile to make your stay comforatble. Breakfasts offered a huge variety catering for all tastes and the evening dinner was simply excellent with quality wines and spirits being the norm. Our room was well equipped and very spacious and the hotel throughout was spotless. We will definitely be returning and cannot rate the hotel and staff highly enough.

This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location with amazing spa facilities. The staff make this hotel. They are all friendly and can’t do enough for you from reception staff to cleaners. Charley was our wine waiter/ server and just made our whole dining experience amazing. He explained all the different wines and was good entertainment value. Michel mixed some good cocktails and made the bar a really pleasant place. The lounge and dining areas were very pleasant and the pool was just lovely with the spa to massage all those muscles after our walking each day. We were too scared to use the naked saunas though! The location was just amazing close to two gondolas which took you up to 2000metres on each side of the valley with lots of walks for all abilities. We chose moderate walks of about 3 to 4 hours which were quite hard in places especially in the heat. The buses take you easily into Zell am See and to the end of the valley to the golden gate and Hinterglemm. We used all of the 5 gondolas in this valley a lot and all for free using the Joker card. The walks were amazing from all of the gondolas and from the end of the valley. We didn’t spend much extra money at all on top of our all inclusive which made the holiday affordable. (We made sandwiches and took pastries from the buffet for lunch) As to food. Breakfast was amazing with such a good selection of fruits, continental pasties etc and cooked options. (No pressure to get up early as served late into the morning) Lunches were equally as good. I enjoyed the massive salad selection but there were tasty cooked options and of course plenty of cakes and ice creams. Dinner was an experience with so many different foods. I have put some pictures of a menu and some food to show. We tried everything, some of which we loved but others, we felt had a little too much style over substance! (Foam and Tuiles and tiny portions) Our room number 403 was massive and so comfortable with a lovely view and a huge shower. The bed was really comfortable and it was all so clean. There was a heatwave across Europe this year. It was so hot at 32 degrees some days and we couldn’t sleep as no air conditioning in rooms. We did know this before we visited and I feel that this now needs to be addressed due to climate change and potential high temperatures in the Summer. Also the hotel did not put on air conditioning in the lounge and bar which meant the only place we could get cool was in the pool. This is the only reason we have dropped a point on the review score as this is a very good hotel.
