We had a nice time. The wellness is still very pleasant. One thing is missing, or rather someone. There was a young Hungarian bath master last year, he did excellent sauna programs and had a very good vibe. He had a very pleasant personality. This positivity is missing from the other one, he is listless and phlegmatic. Otherwise, the hotel is fine, the restaurant and the service were also very good.

Third time back to this hotel, Very nice setting. beautiful pools (many) and lovely garden setting around the outdoor pool. We went again because we enjoyed the food and the surroundings in the past. However the food was not as good this time. (chef has changed). Breakfast OK, but evening meals ALL disappointing. A real pity because it would cause us to hesitate to return again! Suite was lovely and spacious. Parking good with power available for our hybrid BMW. Alternative hotels in Austria offer better value for money. i.e. in Seefeld.

We slept wonderfully here for 8 nights. The hotel is large and neat and tidy, we were upgraded to a junior suite which was huge. We slept wonderfully here for 8 nights. The hotel is large and neat and tidy, we were upgraded to a junior suite which was huge. The large bathroom was fully equipped, a wonderful bed, everything neat and tidy. The wellness is large and plenty of choice of saunas and swimming pools you can relax on good sunbeds. Outside is a large swimming pool a bit on the fresh side but when it is hot and it was during the day you can cool off in it. Drinks are brought to your bed. The food was also fine large buffet breakfast and dinner consists of 5 courses of good food sometimes they do a nice buffet with plenty of choice a beautiful hotel with good food and what was also very nice good and pleasant staff who really ensure a nice holiday

The hotel is in a wonderful location , just a few miles outside Kitzbuhel. It is situated on one of the main roads from Salzburg to the Tirol. The hotel boasts 5 Stars which the facilities dictate. However at times the service is not 5 star. We have visited the hotel in the past , and always loved it. This time though there was something missing. Where has the gemütliche gone , that feeling of Austrianess. Yes the staff are in traditional dress , but all feels rather corporate. The staff are always courteous and helpful but only up to a point . The feeling that this is just a job , where as before the was a real passion and pride in working at the hotel. We had a family suite which was very spacious . In our bedroom the bed was on a platform which if you for got about meant you either stubbed your toe or nearly had a twisted ankle. You then walked a few steps before you had another step into the bathroom , which did not have a door but a curtain. The light in the room near the foot of the bed was only about 165 cm off the ground and when you are over 180 cm that results in several headaches . The terrace area has no view what so ever , this was not to bad in the winter but in the summer one would like to look at something other than a brick wall. The food was good 6 course dinner including a salad buffet . If you have any sort of dietary need they will do there best to cater for it. There was an adequate selection of the salad buffet but a little more variety might have been nice. While restaurant tries to portray itself and chic and elegant for which the surrounding are , the atmosphere is very casual and at times it seems like a kindergarten. Children seem to regard the restaurant and a playground and parents seem to think it funny if people are disturbed by their offspring. It would be nice if their was a family area , and an adult area where you could have a nice relaxing meal without children screaming and running wild. The pool area and wellness areas are extensive and very good. Again though despite having areas for over 14 only , there was no policing of this policy. So expect under 14's to be in the adult only area. In this day and age inn a 5 star hotel you expect WIFI to operate fully , especially when staying in a suite. This not the case were only really able to use the WIFI in the lounge area. It was very hit and miss in the bedrooms and did not work at all on the balcony. All in all this visit has left us very under whelmed , this was not the Der Lärchenhof we had visited in the past. We left feeling things could do with improving and standards raising , the little touches like turn down service , tha mat to go by the bed was there but never put out, and a the individual chocolate on your pillow when you return from dinner , not the mass produced square that is left by the maid when she makes up your room.
