Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Alpin Resort Sacher and would recommend the hotel. The infinity pool was absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of the property. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I especially loved the little touches like the herbal teas, snacks, and cake hour. The wellness activities were also excellent. Markus, the water aerobics instructor, was amazing — energetic, kind, and made the class really enjoyable. I also had a great massage with Ava, who was wonderful. There were a few things I did not love. The tea was served in plastic cups, which felt out of place for a hotel of this level. I also wish the sauna opened earlier in the day; it rarely seemed to be available at 11, which was disappointing for guests who enjoy using the spa in the morning. My biggest disappointment was the Augustinus Bader facial. It was supposed to be 70 minutes, but it felt closer to 50 minutes at most. The treatment itself was extremely basic and did not feel luxurious or worth the price. I was very disappointed and would not recommend booking facials at the spa — for me, it felt like a waste of money. One unusual design detail was that the bidet was in a separate room from the toilet, which felt a bit odd. Overall, I would recommend the hotel for the setting, pool, staff, food touches, and wellness atmosphere — but I would skip the facials at the spa.

“5-star in name only”

We were super excited to try the Hotel Alpin Sacher based on the reputation of their Vienna property. Sadly, we were disappointed on many levels. We were super excited to try the Hotel Alpin Sacher based on the reputation of their Vienna property. Sadly, we were disappointed on many levels. Save your money and go to a friendlier and better serviced 4-star in the area. Reasons? The Good: Very good spa services. Friendly and competent. Spa area good, although the textile-free zone could be larger. Nice heated outdoor lap pool. Very good evening bartender … older guy who was very nice. The Bad: Dinner service was spotty. And, we were never told that there was an ala carte menu from which to order. We only noticed it on our last night when our neighboring table was eating steak and special desserts. Bar prices insane – 21 Euros for one gin and tonic. The Ugly: Tried getting lunch at the bar where a surly young bartender informed us that we could not be served in bathrobes and we would have to call room service (despite the fact that the entire bar area was vacant AND properties like Stanglwirt and Birkenhof have no problem providing lunch to guests so attired). Tried calling room service for 20 minutes. No one picked up the telephone. After walking in our bath robes to the front desk, we were escorted to the bar to order. There, the same surly young bartender seemed recalcitrant to even take our order. Then, when it did come, there was no tray or cart … it was brought up separate dishes and glasses and bottles and set all over the room. Overall, no one appeared welcoming or happy to be where they were (again, a marked difference to a property like Stanglwirt). Sad, because the location is nice.

“Any piste machines?”

Badly groomed pistes. Not groomed for whole week we were skiing there. Given that Seefeld has a small pisted area, this is poor. First few days were good, but churned up surfaces everywhere after that spoilt enjoyment.
