Fluffiest bed ever experienced, perfectly clean rooms and common spaces, despite the age of the hotel, perfectly located at the town center, offering quick access to cafes and restaurants, shops and sightseeing of memorable architectural marvels and world-known jewels. Personnel always eager to offer service and any suggestions, if asked, quickly and with a smile. As a coffee-lover, I would suggest to add an espresso/coffee machine in every room.

“Excellent location and very nice hotel”

This hotel could not have been more perfect for everything we needed. This hotel could not have been more perfect for everything we needed. It wasn’t particularly spacious but we were only staying here for two nights and I don’t really expect spacious rooms in European hotels anyway. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was perfectly positioned on the metro station Diagonal. There were two cafés right down the street for breakfast. It was very easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. I am very happy with my choice to have stayed here.

This hotel is located extremely centrally and close to the Diagonal metro stop. From there you can get almost anywhere in Barcelona. The check in staff was wonderful and friendly. The doorman instantly helped with the bags and greeted me warmly every time he saw me. When I needed something they took care of it with a smile. Housekeeping was terrific. Rooms are spacious. There is plenty of room for your things. The room was very well lit - this is something I don't always find in Europe. So I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of light in the room and it's very customizable with how many lights you turn on or off. Plenty of room in the shower, with a small sink area. Everything was fully functional in the room and I found the bed very comfortable for me. Some of the disadvantages - the hotel is very close to the metro, so you will hear the trains as they travel underground close by. There is a rumbling every few minutes. Not severe, but you will notice. The street outside is busy. You'll hear cars if they are blasting their radios (and this happens often). I use a white noise app and with that I slept like a baby, I recommend you use one too. My room had no view whatsoever. Just a wall when you open the curtains. So if you want a view you'll have to ask and plan. Breakfast was mediocre. I wouldn't recommend it at the price they charge. The hot foods were almost cold. And the taste was bland. There were enough choices but just not very good tasting. I only chose to get it (and pay for it) the first day. Choose a room without including the breakfast, it is not worth it. There is a small supermarket across the street and coffee shops and bakeries close by. Eat there instead. For the location it's a great hotel. Just be aware of the downsides and plan accordingly.

“nice and noisy”

Pros - good location, nice room and bathroom Cons - noisy (6th floors) - think there's utility rooms and a gym above so we heard noise through the night. Asked for some water for the room and told we had to buy which is unfortunate. It's just drinking water...
