Very much enjoyed our two- night stay. Very comfortable large bedrooms, with fantastic beds and great bathrooms. The coffee machine and cartons of Stillwater in the fridge were very much appreciated. Bar staff were friendly, and helped choose from the various Belgian beers, although it was very quiet in the evenings. Morning breakfast was excellent with a huge range of foods to choose from, alongside made-to- order eggs. The location seemed perfect to us, no more than a 10 minute walk from the Central station, and a further 10 minutes on to the central market Square/Cathedral. There were plenty of dining options very close by. Compared to others, it seemed great value!

Clean, spacious room, comfortable bed, wonderful pillows, fantastic shower, great breakfast, all in a fabulous location, what more could you want? The staff were professional but warm and welcoming. The gym is well equipped. My husband and I spent three nights here before he left on a work trip and I remained for another four. The service was excellent the whole time.

We having been staying here since it opened, as we are an internationally family. We thank Mathieu and this exceptional staff , as the new management team has it right. We recently choose this hotel for our family and our daughter’s wedding guests in November. Exceptional care was taken for all of us. We can’t thank the team enough and as we are just back in Jan for a week for a family visit and again the care was given. Sick on a Sunday - ginger tea on them , anything they could do they offered. Thank you again to all the staff that makes our Antwerp stays wonderful! Not to mention the beauty of the hotel, location , rooms …Thank you Sapphire !

“Promising 5-Star Hotel That Misses Key Details”

We spent three nights at Hotel Sapphire in Antwerp, booking two rooms with breakfast included, as well as an additional dog package for our French Bulldog, Carlos. While the hotel impressed us with its modern design and central location, our overall experience was unfortunately mixed. Our stay began with a very time-consuming check-in process, and we received our rooms only on the second attempt. Once inside, we immediately noticed that nothing had been prepared for Carlos—the promised dog package was missing. After pointing this out at reception, we were given two loose food bowls, one dog blanket, and a small dog bed. Unfortunately, the bed was far too small for a French Bulldog, so we had to complain again. The staff informed us that no larger beds were available, which left us with no option other than to return the unusable bed. Adding to the frustration, we had to change one room once more and were charged an additional €25 per night for the new room. For a 5-star hotel, this was disappointing. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, stylish, and located right in the city center—ideal for exploring Antwerp on foot. Our rooms faced the inner courtyard and were wonderfully quiet, providing excellent sleeping comfort. However, service was noticeably lacking, especially in the lounge and during breakfast. Instead of relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere, we often found ourselves searching for hotel staff to place even simple orders. This is far from the standard one expects at a hotel of this category. Overall, Hotel Sapphire offers a great location and outstanding design, but for the price and its 5-star rating, the service quality leaves room for significant improvement.
