The hotel was absolutely amazing, so clean, the rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day with toiletries topped up. The staff were all so incredibly kind and always so chatty and welcoming. The bar was well stocked and very reasonably priced compared to the city centre. The breakfast was waffles, toast, fruits, pastries, cereals and fresh yoghurt and fruit juice with coffees. It's also just a very short walk away from the centre of the city and to the train stations. If we came back to Brussels we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed for two nights in Brussels with a friend at Hotel Van Belle, and overall, it was a positive experience—especially considering the price. The hotel was very clean and appears to have been recently renovated. The interior design is modern and stylish, which was a pleasant surprise for a budget-friendly hotel. That said, this is not a luxury hotel, and it doesn’t try to be. You’ll find all the essentials—towels, a hairdryer, and basic amenities—but instead of glassware or porcelain cups, there are simple cardboard cups provided. For us, this was perfectly sufficient. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made a great impression. The lobby area includes a space that functions as a bar in the evening and a breakfast area in the morning, which was convenient and nicely arranged. The location is fairly practical in terms of transport. The hotel is about a 10–15 minute walk from Brussels Midi train station and the nearest metro station, and the city center is also within reasonable walking distance. However, the surrounding area was the biggest downside of our stay. The streets were noticeably dirty during our visit, and it wasn’t clear how often they are cleaned. The neighborhood didn’t feel particularly comfortable, especially after dark, when there were quite a few people around who made the area feel a bit unsafe. Because of this, I would recommend being cautious when walking outside at night. In summary, Hotel Van Belle is a great choice if you’re looking for a clean, affordable, and stylish place to stay with friendly service—but the location may not suit everyone, especially if safety and surroundings are a priority.

Stayed three nights, nice lovely modern hotel. Greeted with a warm welcome from man at the desk. It’s about a 15 min walk from the train station and a 15 minute walk to the city Centre for the Christmas markets. We didn’t try the food, but it was an option for breakfast and dinner. Room was spacious and clean and thought it was good value for money. The area where the hotel is might not suit a lot of people, but we had no trouble.
