A Newmarket Holiday. Lovely situated hotel with kind and helpful staff. A second tour arrived shortly after and while we had separate eating areas it was a bit of a bun fight at the buffet! Decent food - didn’t go hungry! Neum was fairly quiet with very few shops or restaurants open until 1st May, a national holiday in Bosnia. The hotel assisted us at lunchtime by ordering food in which was really helpful on the days we weren’t touring. Our room was serviced every day and was comfortable with a beautiful view over the water. Walk-in shower, powerful hairdryer. Kettle provided. Bosnia is a beautiful historic country and well worth a visit.

We had a room facing the sea with balcony, and the view is gorgeous. The room was okay, with all necessary amenities. They advertised their "private beach", but it is really a small pier/porch with place for ~10 people, which seems to be standard in Neum. The hotel has its own restaurant. We wanted to have dinner there the first night, but we were simply turned away by a rude waiter (he physically blocked us from entering and literally said in a condescending tone "What do you want? You sure you live here?"). We still went there for breakfast the next morning (since breakfast is included in our room charges, and not many other places are open at 7am), and the food was terrible. Be aware that this hotel has two parts, separated by a street, and both the front desk and the parking garage is actually on the other side of the street in the new building. There is a small "front desk" in the old complex, but usually no one is there.

“Mixed feelings with this hotel”

Stayed here as part of a Newmarket holidays tour. We were given a nice sea view room (306) with a lovely balcony to enjoy the view each evening after hectic days touring. If you have mobility issues this hotel is not suited to you as there are a lot of steps in order to get down to the restaurant or ‘beach’. One lovely lady, who uses a walker, and her daughter, who were part of our group, could not join the rest of us for breakfast or dinner due to the amount of steps, which was really sad as she could not enjoy the views like we could., they had to eat all their food at the tables in reception, away from the rest of us. Food was not very good, what little choice of an evening there was, was usually cold or at the very best warm! Not great. My hubby and I aren’t really picky when it comes to food, but we really struggled! Pool towels are provided with a deposit. If use use the pool, sun beds are free, but you have to pay to use the sun beds down at the ‘beach’ (beach is really a small concrete area with steps into the water, with a few sunbeds and umbrellas or on a floating pontoon without sun umbrellas. For the amount of people wanting to use it more umbrellas are needed, due to the intense sun/ heat. On check out, we were not leaving the hotel until 13.00, but were told we had to vacate the room by 10.00. They do not offer a complementary room in order to wash and change after using the pool or beach before departure . I was told I would have to use the outside shower up at the pool. When I explained I would want to wash and dry my hair, I was told by a receptionist that I could dry it in reception, where there were no mirrors. Ok if you have straight hair, but I don’t, I have to style it. This really is not acceptable. A few of the group did decide to sit in reception for the three hours. Great holiday but not the best ending!
