“Excellent hotel with good location, breakfast and nice staff”

The location of the hotel was excellent; Just crossing the street, and you are in the middle of the old town. Quiet area; Only thing that you can hear from the traffic, is the tram. Breakfast very good, but unfortunately serving only from 08.00-10.00 o'clock. Most organized daytours start at 08.00 o'clock, so it is a bit stress to pay for breakfast and not be able to enjoy it. Fortunately they told us it was possible to come earlier, so we expirienced that breakfast is ready served at 07.30 o'clock. Much better if breakfast was available from 7 o'clock. Beds: VERY hard. It was a hard mattress with a very thin mattress protector on top. No mattress topper. I struggle to get a normal sleep. We stayed there for four nights. After two nights, I asked the lady in the reseption if it was possible to have a duvet/quilt blanket to lie upon the hard mattress. She new what I ment, and should check. As we were back in Sarajevo in the evening, we were happy and pleased to see that finally there were a top mattress on each bed! It felt like heaven compared to only the hard mattress. AirCon: Possibly something wrong with our aircon in our room (402), but the thermostat went on and off all the time. Very irritating to hear an aircon fan that goes on and off throughout the night. Prefer a steady hiss from the aircon rather than one that is on for 5-10 seconds, then turns off. Another 10-15 seconds, then it turns on. The aircon was initially quiet and comfortable, but the disadvantage was that it went on and off when we had according to the airdisplay the room temperature was 20 degrees, but we wanted 17 degrees. I hardly think it got below 20 degrees. Otherwise, there was too much light from the aircon display; It lit up the whole room at night, so bring a sleep mask. The aircon display units should have been placed on a different wall than in front of the beds. Staff: The staff: Very friendly and helpful. We stayed at Hotel Sana for 4 nights, and had an excellent stay. We would love to come back, but should I ask for a top mattress at check-in, bring a sleeping mask, let us know about air conditioning and show up for breakfast at 7:15 if we have a day trip that starts at 8. The hotel was clean and nice with an excellent location.

We had a truly fantastic time at the Sana Hotel; it was impeccably clean, and the staff were lovely. The staff were always eager to assist with any questions I had. The rooms were more spacious than they appeared in the pictures, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was also of very good quality; although limited, it was sufficient and had a good selection. The hotel is excellently located, just a stone's throw away from the old market, restaurants, and cafes. All the mosques, cathedrals, and Pigeon Square are only a few minutes away on foot. Our hotel was conveniently located near the office of the Tour Company we used, Funky Tours, which was very useful. The only thing to caution is that the hotel faces directly onto traffic, so crossing the road can be a little awkward, and for anyone with accessibility issues, it might be something to consider. We were absolutely fine with it, and if this isn't an issue, I would 100% recommend Sana Hotel because it was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and always went above and beyond to help.

“Very good centrally located hotel”

Have just returned from a 3-night stay at Hotel Sana and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. I had a room on the top floor (room 402) which had windows in the ceiling, and it was nice to look at the stars from the bed. Have just returned from a 3-night stay at Hotel Sana and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. I had a room on the top floor (room 402) which had windows in the ceiling, and it was nice to look at the stars from the bed. The room itself was a decent size with plenty of storage and a safe in the wardrobe. The bed is firm (which I like), but all pillows were very soft which if you like firm pillows will take quite a few adjustments to get comfortable. The bathroom was modern, clean and had the option to have a rainfall shower or a handheld shower head. The cleaning staff fully stocked the bathroom each day with little shower gels, shampoos, and conditioners. Understandably there is outside noise you can hear in the room due to the hotel’s central location. Trams rumble past the hotel from early morning into the late evening which if you are light sleeper might disturb you. However, the location of the hotel cannot be faulted as you are just across the street from the old town and have fantastic restaurants, cafes and all the attractions within a short walking distance. The selection at breakfast was great – it ranged from hot and cold options, pastries, fruits, coffees, teas and juices. My main criticism is that the breakfast starts from 8am, and I had fully packed my days with most of my activities/day trips starting at 8am so I only got to enjoy breakfast once during my stay – I would recommend the hotel start breakfast at 7.30am at the latest. For those who find themselves in a similar situation, there is a great bakery just a minute walk from the hotel called ‘Bakehouse Edin’ which opens early and sold the best bureks I have ever had (and very cheap). Overall, I would stay again and would recommend the hotel.

“Pleasant stay in friendly Sana hotel, Sarajevo, Bosnia & Hercegovina”

Pleasant stay at Sana. Conveniently located adjacent to the old city centre. We could park our car straight in front of the hotel. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Decent bed and pillows. A good breakfast in buffet form. Friendly reception. Overall good quality price.
