We needed a place to stay when we attended a wedding in Francistown and had very few leads on a good and comfortable place to stay during out two nights stay. The hotel seemed to have decent ratings online and the immigration staff at the Botswana Border were helpful enough to recommend the place over other hotels in the city. We were definetly not dissappointed. The place is well located right in the cbd but is in a quiet enough area. We were able to walk from the hotel into town to do some shopping. The place is also within a small shopping centre with a restaurant, botiques and other small shops. The rooms were clean, air conditioned and spacious. We loved the vintage design of the rooms though we felt the carpet in the corridors was a bit dated. The hotel also has a very secure parking space and a restaurant. Owing to our schedule we only dined there for breakfast on one of the days. We are not too sure if they have buffet breakfast as we were served a la carte. Our meals were generally well prepared and service was excellent. All in all a good, clean, secure and comfortabe place to stay.

Digger's Inn is not great. There aren't many choices in Francistown and if you just need something for 1 night, then you'll probably survive. The place is old and tired, it's dirty and everything is in bad need of a really good clean. Although the rooms are spacious, they are grubby. You almost don't want to take your shoes off in the room. If you're facing the rear of the property you are overlooking a filthy car park and it's noisy from activity in street behind and lots of vendor activity. Staff are generally unenthusiastic and not very helpful. Two people booked in a room but you only get 1 towel, and it took ages for them to bring another. The front of the hotel is situated in a strip mall, with various shops and a restaurant and coffee shop. It's at this coffee shop where breakfast is served if you include this in your booking. Rather skip. Breakfast with booking is very limited and basic. We opted for avo on toast and the avo was mashed and spread so thin you couldn't even notice it was on the toast. Only redeeming thing was the pretty froth art on the cappuccino's. A plus is they have secure parking at the back of the hotel, with a locked gate and security on duty. Otherwise, maybe look for something else in Francistown.
