Zebra Beach is a little bit of paradise in Brazil, maybe no an easy place to find but maybe that's not so dad! When we did find the hotel it is not beside the beach its in the beach. On arrival they came and picked up our bags and took them to our room straight away, reception is very simple but no one spoke English only Portuguese...... But with our simple Portuguese a language app and lots of smiles checking was simple. The room we had was one one side with a big terrace, nice large room with ensuite shower. The bed was two single beds pushed together, one of my pet hates.... When we got the room noticed there was no a/c oh dear then worked out that as you open up the wooden slats on the window it lets in the wind and you have a natural a/c system and a great hair dryer and body dryer after a shower as you always have some wind. The room has a fridge as well as a satellite tv but has mainly Portuguese language channels. There is wifi that works very will but you have to keep signing in all the type. The bathroom is is fine but the shower could be changed as it does not work to well. Nice big terrace to walk out on with two big hammock with a great view on the beach, sea and lagoon. Breakfast is nicely served with a selection of fresh fruit and juices home made cakes, cooked eggs on request. The pool is nice and clean as is the whole pool area and grounds and of course you just walk out on to the beach in to the sea or go for a swim in the fresh water lagoon oh so many decisions to make. During the day you can get snacks and drinks from the bar, they did not always have fresh cold coconuts which was a pity. This is great place for kite surfers, but we wanted a place to really relax and rest and we found paradise. The spa next door we had some nice massages we also had an introduction to Pilate, and really enjoyed it, Anna our teacher was a gem and was excellent and we can only recommend to try it. The evening meal was a bit of an adventure as if you want to eat at the hotel (the restaurant is in the complex next door where the spa and kite school) is run by some one else, you have to tell him before 17.00 and he will make you a meal choice is limited and the one time we went he had no red wine.... Lucky for us went to the bar in hotel area and got some. Other wise we went to eat at the nearby Hotel Villaggio Tudobom (new review to be done) we would ask at the reception and there was always a solution for us to get there and back, it was also a great way to meet new people and make friends, Over all this is place to come is you want to meet the locals and get away from the mass of tourist and really chill out and relax, The staff are really friendly and helpful even if they only spoke Portuguese it made us learn the language and we were able to communicate with lots of laughs and smiles. Our special thanks go to Kicco and his wife (owner of Zebra Beach)and family for all his help and hospitality it really made our holiday and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. Probably next time we would hire a car as it would give us possibilities to visit the region Ps The area is extremely safe and no mosquitos.

This property is beautiful open and spacious with views of the ocean, lagoon and dunes from anywhere on the property, the owners full filled their vision of an ecostyle resort in front of the beach. It's just a real gem. This property is great for making new friends and reviving my spirit, the positive energy of the people and this place has been just magical for me. This is definitely a unique property and it is well worth the visit to this very romantic and adventurous place. The staff is super accommodating and the food is really great, pool and bar service is very good, the pool is cleaned daily, and the grounds, and amenities are spotless. The property has several attached amenities, such as beautiful spa across the street. And a water sports facility on site with a great experienced instructor named Joe, he teaches kite surfing and other great water sports, they have all the equipment you need for an amazing time. The climate is deliciously tropical with beautiful ocean breezes day and night.... The property is close to other great towns such as Morro Branco, Uruau and Canoea Quebrada of course Fortaleza if you crave a big city night or day while on holiday. Thank you too the owners & their staff for a very special holiday ; ) I will definitely back here to visit again for sure !!!
