“Superb hotel in good location at a good price”

Stayed here for one night after a nice meal at BH Procao (see separate review). It is a superb hotel. While it isn't a 5-star hotel as such, it deserves 5 stars taking everything into account. Stayed here for one night after a nice meal at BH Procao (see separate review). It is a superb hotel. While it isn't a 5-star hotel as such, it deserves 5 stars taking everything into account. For 180 reais, we got a nice spacious room with king size bed overlooking Belo Horizonte from 10th floor. Really nice. The room is modern in ambiance but keeps it simple. The bed was very comfortable with a brilliant mattress. It had a nice aircon and the curtains were of a good quality, sheltering in complete darkness during the night. We were really impressed by the shower. Very good pressure and quick to adjust between hot and cold water to your own desired choice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The car was parked in a safe underground garage belonging to the hotel underneath it. The garage is a bit narrow including parking spaces but the staff helped retrieve the car. Breakfast was also included. It was nothing special, but it had all the essentials which tasted good. A really good place to stay overnight. Overall, it deserves a 5 rating.

“On the edge of the 4 stars”

Everything worked in the room and in general in the hotel, my room due to the type of floor and it seems they had just painted, leaving a few drops of paint everywhere gave the impression of being dirty however it was not. Everything worked in the room and in general in the hotel, my room due to the type of floor and it seems they had just painted, leaving a few drops of paint everywhere gave the impression of being dirty however it was not. The hotel does need a renovation. Breakfast is just OK, the scramble eggs in the buffet were raw and the fruits did not look fresh. The personal does not provide any attention. Probably there are better hotel near by

We came to Belo Horizonte to visit family and friends, but didn't want to stay in other people's houses. We chose this hotel off the internet for price and location. It was a few kilometres out from the city centre - an easy trip by local bus (bus-stop right outside) or by taxi. The room was clean and comfortable, and had free internet, which was a must for us. The service was very friendly at every level. The breakfast (included in our booking) was a very good way to start the day - a multitude of different fruits, cereals, breads, juices, some hot foods, coffee. Slight negatives: Very limited tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a coffee-pod machine - the only way to heat water - which we used without pods when we wanted tea, and was quite slow. No coffee, tea, sugar. No cutlery. No sink except in the bathroom. There was a safe, but it was not screwed down; so if anyone had wanted to steal our diamonds, they could have just picked up the safe and walked away with it. We needed to change our original internet booking, splitting our stay into two parts. This was done easily, helpfully, and with no financial loss. We could also leave some luggage there while we were gone, for which they made no charge. Tipping is not required or asked for, but always appreciated. We tipped a couple of times when we felt someone had gone quite out of their way to be helpful. Overall, a very pleasant stay at a good price.
