“Good Location”

It was my first time at this hotel. I would stay again but would like to give advice to the manager and staff. The hotel is in an excellent location. I used to live in Campinas for more than 20 years, and was back after 5 years to visit. I can say that the hotel is walking distance from many things. As a market, pharmacies, restaurants, Giovanetti and also the center of Campinas. My only issue was with the breakfast. On the two days that I went for coffee around 9am, there was no bread and cold cuts, until I left at almost 10am, they had not replaced. This left me a little disappointed. I even asked a staff, but even so it was not replaced. Another thing, when we were having breakfast, a staff was putting the dishes in place, but there was a lot of noise of plates, glasses and cutlery. Things that bother you mainly in the morning. Another thing was the person above our room, 2am walking with high hills and stomping their feet.

The hotel advertises itself as a 4-star establishment, but unfortunately, it barely meets the standard of a 1-star experience. While the bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable, the overall cleanliness of the common areas, particularly the floors, left much to be desired. The parking service was poorly managed, and some staff members seemed unmotivated, often unwilling to assist with more challenging requests. The food quality at the restaurant was good, with breakfast being a standout, but the pricing felt excessive for the value delivered. The building itself is old and in dire need of renovation. The elevators are outdated and unreliable, contributing to an overall sense of neglect. For families with young children, the lack of essential amenities such as a microwave or a shared kitchen to warm bottles was a significant inconvenience. Accessibility was another major issue—there is no accessible entrance for wheelchairs, making it extremely difficult for individuals with mobility challenges to enter the hotel. While the location is convenient, the hotel’s infrastructure is in a precarious state. From outdated floors and elevators to old TVs and an unreliable Wi-Fi connection, it is clear that the property urgently needs an upgrade. If the hotel addresses these issues, it might live up to its advertised star rating. Until then, it falls far short of expectations.

“Not a 4 Star Hotel”

This is a hotel that may have seen better days. When we arrived in our room the Wi-Fi was not working, The safe was not working. The toilet was not working properly. This is a hotel that may have seen better days. When we arrived in our room the Wi-Fi was not working, The safe was not working. The toilet was not working properly. We had to make 2 requests for someone to come and repair the toilet. No one came to do the repairs. The furniture is outdated.. There is no radio or clock in the rooms. The hotel staff is nice. They have a nice breakfast although the hot water was not very hot. Most of the staff at the hotel is very nice. If the price is right we would stay there again.

It is a well located hotel, in Cambuí, the trendy Campinas district. There are several restaurants, bars and public gathering spots nearby. There is easy access to city center, theaters, Viracopos International Airport and other places of interest. Staff are kind and always prone to please the guest. Prices are reasonable. Breakfast is good. Cleanliness is acceptable. However, the hotel itself is an old building whose decoration dates perhaps of 25-30 years ago. Needs refurbishing badly.
