This is a 4-star condotel which you may either book directly with the hotel or with the owner of an apartment. We booked our apartment on the 6th floor directly from an owner through Airbnb. Alexandre is the owner we rented from. To locate his Airbnb listing, do a search for "O charme de estar em frente à praia". He is a multi-lingual 5-star ***** Airbnb host who is able to communicate fluently in English with us. His apartment is very well-equipped and since he is a food director, there is almost every cooking/dining/drinking equipment & utensil you can find in the world in his home, including the biggest & best designed world-class refrigerator we have ever enjoyed using in our life. For long term stays, Alexander's apartment includes weekly cleaning by hotel staff and a change of bed linen & towels. Parking is safe and secure in the underground garage. Service at the hotel reception desk is professional & friendly, and there is usually someone who is able to communicate in English. Food served at the restaurant is simple & good and reasonably priced. Well-stocked supermarkets for grocery and modern shopping centres are just 15 minutes away by car. In Rio, you would usually have to carefully walk across a busy road with vehicular traffic from your apartment building to get to the beach. Here, however, there is no road or vehicular traffic between the apartment building and the beach. The location is perfect ... literally just next to the beach without any cars in the way. We suggest staying here during weekdays when it is quieter and there is less people. It can get very crowded and noisy during weekends and holidays. In-house wi-fi is fast here ... typically over 40+ Mbps. There is a transmission tower nearby and we find that 3G phone connectivity from service provider CLARO (averaged over 20+ Mbps) is much faster than 4G from TIM (about 10+ Mbps). There are many surfers here, riding the waves from sunrise till sunset. Day and night, you will hear the waves breaking onto the shore from your apartment. Standard 1-bedroom apartments here are compact in size - as are most residential properties in Brazil - but the balcony for Alexandre's apartment is more spacious than what you see in the photos. It is simply fabulous to wake up every morning and be able to see the soft white sand beach from your bed. Feel free to contact Alexandre through Airbnb to book his apartment.
