LOCATION & ATTRACTIONS NEARBY *** Located in the centre of Jaraguá do Sul, just next door to a shopping centre and many shopping streets in a very close proximity. Main bus station and city market (nothing to see there) is also nearby. Good, convenient location. HOTEL OVERVIEW *** Business-orientated hotel, but also good for an occasional tourist visitors. It’s old style building, but kept in a good condition. Maybe not very stylish, but it does its job. There’s swimming pool (facing the street, but all the area was quite smart, so you don’t really hear the traffic that much. There’s also large gym and sauna for your convenience. Corridors are very noisy and has that ‘hospital feeling’. There’s valet parking (20 BRL for 24h) and your car is securely kept on the 2nd floor garage. The area is safe anyway and I was absolutely fine to walk around at any time of the day or night. PURPOSE OF THIS TRIP *** Leisure RESERVATION *** Booked through accor website direct. Reservation available in the online app. I have also received an email reminder of the booking and with all options for the area. Good communication. LENGTH OF MY STAY *** 1 night – Nov ‘19 CHECK-IN *** Quick and hassle-free. Receptionist had a good English (lucky for me as I don’t speak Portuguese). A small info card was handed to me as well with all essential details (breakfast time, Wi-Fi logins instruction, restaurant times, parking details etc.) – small piece of paper, but with pretty much everything I needed (and in English). LOBBY & RECEPTION *** Spacious and quite elegant. Restaurant is on the ground floor and in the evening there’s a lounge bar open there. ROOM *** #507 – Superior Room with 1 Double Bed – room was very spacious with a cabinet as a divider between the sitting area and the bedroom. Quite easy, but very smart idea and it actually looked much bigger than it was. It looked nice and actually higher standard that the price suggest. There was also a tiny balcony facing the street. Almost all furniture kept in a good condition (better than in many Mercures I stayed before), except the lamps (broken/squashed near the bed and this above the bed was just a one big dirty dust collector). Except the lamps, everything was very clean and fresh. There was a very comfortable double bed, a sofa, working desk, small kitchenette (not equipped), a mini-bar fridge (very reasonable prices), plenty of storage space, safety deposit box. Air-conditioner was OK, but you could also open the windows during the night for fresher air (noise from the street may be then not really nice). With closed windows, absolutely not an issue – the room was extremely quiet. There is no coffee/tea making kit or kettle. Also not enough free electrical sockets and no USB sockets. BATHROOM *** Bit old style, but OK. Shower was quite large, but not necessarily spotless. Clean, but a little bit of attention would be probably recommended. I think not all toiletries were replenished for my stay as I had only a bar of soap and a shampoo. BREAKFAST *** I had booked option with breakfast and this was great idea. Breakfast there was actually really good. Plenty of hot and cold meals, fresh fruit, cheeses, juices and of course cakes. Good coffee was also served, so I was fine. It looked and tasted very good, so make sure you don’t miss on this. I really liked the fact, that the check-in staff member was a lady in a wheelchair. That’s a huge plus for them to give this chance for a job. INTERNET ACCESS *** It was complimentary and easy to use. Log-in details given at check-in. Connection was stable. CHECK-OUT EXPERIENCE *** Quick and hassle-free. I was able to take a car myself. My invoice was sent to me by email as requested. STAFF *** Very nice and helpful. Professional service all the way through. OVERVIEW *** I was expecting more basic option, but it happened that this was a really nice, comfortable stay for some silly price. It’s very conveniently located and well maintained. It isn’t a luxurious hotel, but it doesn’t pretend to be. Good, solid option offering clean, comfortable, spacious rooms and a very good value for money. Would I stay there again? Yes, with pleasure.

Very nice accommodation in a beautiful city, rooms very large and comfortable. Centrally located. Friendly staff, very helpful, good English understanding and speaking really helps. Located close to nice restaurants and pubs

The Hotel is clean and the assistance I got from the staff with booking a room on short notice was excellent, Thanks. Only had breakfast, it was tasty and not much. Fresh fruit was nice. Complementary water and coffee in the room will be nice.

Stayed one night to attend the Pomerode Festival. It’s ok for one night, it’s right next to the mall and located on a quiet and safe area. The rooms are spacious, clean, but a bit old. Good breakfast, but the WiFi isn’t so good.
