We travelled as a family of four (2 adults and children aged 15 and 12) with Jet2 for 7 nights in July 2026 to Aqua Nevis Club Hotel. The check in took a while but staff were friendly throughout. We were given a welcome drink and a pain au chocolat while we waited which was a nice touch. Our first impression was not a very good one, however. The hotel outside looked a little tired and dirty and the reception area is quite small so it gets busy quickly when lots of guests arrive at the same time. The family room was a good size with a fridge, kettle and balcony. The view was nothing special, mainly looked out to a tree and the waterpark but it was peaceful. The air conditioning was good around the double bed but didn't really reach the singles beds. The mattresses were very hard, the pillows very soft, but the duvets were surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was perfectly adequate, although the showers temperature was either very hot or very cold, and the soaps weren't changed during our stay. Housekeeping was limited to mopping the floor daily and sadly we found dust and some food around the beds when we first arrived. Also be aware that the room safe costs an extra 28 euros, and the room only has electricity when your key card is inserted which made charging phones and other devices difficult while we were out. Breakfast was the best meal of the day, by far. The choice was huge and we really looked forward to it every morning. Lunch and dinner had lots of choice but a lot of the dishes didn't suit our palate. Some meals such as swordfish with odd sauces felt a little weird, but everyone will have different likes/dislikes. The soft drinks were excellent, and there were plenty of slushies, cocktails and children's cocktails available. There wasn't really a snack option during the day, but the queues were never too bad. The absolute highlight of the holiday was the waterpark. We used it every single day and loved it. There are around 13 slides, queues were usually no longer than 2 or 3 minutes, and there was always plenty to do. The lazy river was also really enjoyable, and we even spotted lots of frogs along the way. The inflatable rings were always easy to find, although you do have to carry them up the stairs yourself. The lifeguards were professional, safety rules were enforced well, and many of them were happy to chat with us about the weather and made us feel welcome. The water was quite cold, and after spending most of the holiday in the pools and on the slides, I developed an inner ear canal infection on day six, which unfortunately needed treatment once I got home. I can't say for certain what caused it, but it's something worth mentioning. The hotel's main pool was always busy, although we barely used it because the waterpark was the better option for us. The entertainment team did a fantastic job every evening with tribute acts, karaoke and dancing, and the animation team really helped create a fun atmosphere. The waiters, bar staff and waterpark staff were all friendly, professional and worked hard throughout our stay. The location was also convenient. It's around a 20-minute walk into Sunny Beach, there's a supermarket right next door, and despite being near the main road, the area never felt particularly industrial. One piece of advice I'd definitely give future guests is to bring mosquito repellent or mosquito wristbands, as there were a lot of mosquitoes during our stay. Overall, we had a lovely family holiday. Aqua Nevis isn't a luxury hotel, and there are definitely areas that could be improved, particularly the room cleaning, Wi-Fi (which was very unreliable and didn't work in the waterpark), and some of the food. However, if you're travelling with children and want an excellent waterpark with very short queues, friendly staff and good entertainment, it's definitely worth considering. We'd happily recommend it to families looking for a fun and reasonably priced holiday.

On pulling up to the hotel you aren't left feeling impressed by the ugly exterior, the tui transfer dropped us off outside the supermarket which is just 100m away from the hotel entrance, the hotel could really do with a big logo on the hotel front facing the main road as it almost looks like a block of offices, it’s only until you get down the side road to the entrance there’s a tiny logo. Check in went smoothly, we were on the 3rd floor facing the pool and it was a nice clean,spacious room for the 3 of us. Food was hit & miss, some meals were almost like a ‘throw together’ where they wanted to use up any food leading up to the best before date, over the 7 days we were here we only seen 1 theme night and that was Mexican and it was lovely. Aqua park was pretty big and plenty of space to find a sun bed, foam party was a huge hit for the kids, some lifeguards are more strict than others and can be very stern towards little ones, maybe a big sign with a blue band crossed out at the bottom of the splash park steps would be easier for the kids to understand, rather than the lifeguards constantly blowing their whistle expecting them to know. Entertainment usually runs up until 22.30pm with different acts, on the Sunday evening the hotel runs a ‘pirate show’ where kids have to pay €25 to participate, many kids were left upset when their parents didn’t have the money and they had to sit & watch!!! This is the only hotel where I’ve visited in the last 14 years of travelling where they make you pay for a safe in our room and pay to participate in entertainment!! Catering team do a great job of keeping the dining hall clean, can’t say the same about the outside bar though as there’s not a single glass collector going round and wiping tables down.
