Delta Hotels by Marriott Calgary Airport In-Terminal

“Really Convenient !”

This hotel is conveniently located in the Calgary Airport. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The room was great! We dined in the restaurant in the centre (rooms face inward towards it) and really enjoyed the food and service (separate review.)

Two days before going home to Germany and after about 6 weeks in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan, we had time to get ready at this hotel for our ten hours' flight. And these 48 hours were really great because of the comfort and care offered to us at this hotel. Not only the location, the room and restaurants, but especially the attendance and care we were glad and happy to receive from each and everybody of the hotel's staff. Whatever questions or themes, business or personal, e.g. Canada's avifauna, were covered with competence, care and friendliness and thus added to our feeling to not only being welcome, but at home. So, if Calgary again, this is the place to stay at.

We had a great stay at the delta hotel after our flight home. The room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. Check in was fast, though, I was sad to learn you don’t do room service anymore, despite it stating you do on the Marriott website. The last thing I wanted to do after travel was head back out to eat, you should definitely look at adding this back in!

This hotel is right in the airport so no messing about with shuttles and taxis. It’s Marriott’s premium brand hotel, though not obviously different from Courtyard or the main Marriott. This hotel is right in the airport so no messing about with shuttles and taxis. It’s Marriott’s premium brand hotel, though not obviously different from Courtyard or the main Marriott. Good points: my room was ready even at noon; there is a proper restaurant/room service with good selection, though breakfast costs extra except for large, pre-arranged groups; rooms reasonably spacious, with decent wifi; nice walk-in shower; attracive lobby and cafe area (but read on). Vegan soap is provided. Bad points: there is a commissionaire at the entrance fussing around and hoping for a tip. I can wheel my own bags and drink some water when I get to my room, thank-you very much! And is spring water in plastic bottles in the rooms really needed – I believe the tap water in Calgary is drinkable; bathroom was a bit pokey, the restaurant and room-service menu was extremely limited for vegetarians; the hotel is built around a central internal courtyard containing the restaurant, onto which many rooms look out. The noise is not extreme but may disturb those wishing to get a good rest before an early flight or after a long day of travel. In a similar vein, the soundproofing between rooms is not great, especially where there is a locked interconnecting door. I was awoken by my neighbour watching TV at 5 a.m. Despite the excellent location the hotel is clearly overpriced, and caters mostly for airline staff and large tour groups who either don’t care what they pay, or enjoy generous corporate deals.
