Wonderful stay! Amazingly helpful via email before booking and this continued until check out! Staff are incredible! Dog friendly and super nice rooms in a great location. Will stay again and any of their other hotels in future travels. And I kept the rubber duckie 😅

“Needs a few tweaks”

Well located hotel with standard rooms/amenities, comparable to other hotels I’ve stayed at. That said, there are a few things that should be tweaked/improved: 1. There is no way to manage a reservation online without calling by phone once you’ve made it. Total online reservation management capability (including for check out) is long overdue. 2. Housekeeping was negligent during my stay. I put out the card asking for my room to be serviced each day but only received service once during a four night stay. One day I arrived back at 430 pm and the room was still not done so I had to remove the card in order to have privacy. Room servicing should have been completed before this time. 3. The included free breakfast at Ricky’s is good but incomplete and not properly described on the voucher. I resolved this by choosing eggs (included in the selection but not listed on the voucher) and French toast as my free breakfast and ordering 3 sausages for $6 as a side order. Please note that gratuity is not included with the free breakfast regardless so remember to tip your server based on the real value of your meal. 4. The hotel loyalty program is a physical card that gets stamped on check out, like we all had to use at Starbucks and Timmie’s 20 years ago for free coffee. A switch to a fully online loyalty program to save and redeem points is universal everywhere else in the hotel business, but embarrassingly overdue at Accent Inns. None of these criticisms are dealbreakers however and I will consider this and other Accent Inns for future travel. The housekeeping issue is the most important to resolve.

Firstly, the reception guy was very helpful and efficient. No worries there. The room was ok for the price paid. It's right on the main highway, so very noisy with traffic all night. Must also be near the fire hall, sirens all night. The area is also home to the usual city homeless and druggy community. Several were hanging,around the car park for a long time looking dodgy....life in the city I suppose! Finally, don't be fooled by the 'free' breakfast scam...it's not. The nice ticket reception gives you only gets you a discount, 10% I think...doesn't say that anywhere either on the booking site or on the ticket. Probably choose something better than here next time.
