Great location to stay for a winter ski holiday. Rooms were functional and very clean. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Great location to stay for a winter ski holiday. Rooms were functional and very clean. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Room was quiet overnight with just the groomers coming through town around 7 am. Unfortunately the bed was not that comfortable with dents on the sides and lump in the middle. Mattress needs replacing. A proper guest laundry would make Sun Peaks Lodge more attractive for future stays. A single washer and dryer in the cold garage was not something we would do again.

“Great location for everything Sun Peaks has to offer”

Lovely hotel right in the heart of Sun Peaks, walking distance to the lifts for mountain top walks. Bars and restaurants also right outside the hotel but not noisy and the hotel itself has a steak restaurant attached which served excellent food with very friendly staff. Lovely hotel right in the heart of Sun Peaks, walking distance to the lifts for mountain top walks. Bars and restaurants also right outside the hotel but not noisy and the hotel itself has a steak restaurant attached which served excellent food with very friendly staff. Only downside was that the hotel charged for parking and although we were fortunate enough to have a balcony there were no chairs on it. Hotel should consider giving guests a discount for the steak restaurant to encourage them to use it.

We stayed here for my birthday trip to Canada for one night as part of a longer road trip. The hotel room was a bit dated, but the beds were comfy. We had a view into the main plaza area so it was quite noisy at night and then with deliveries unloading in the morning. We loved the location and Sun Peaks itself - full of character! Parking was easy, in the underground car park below the hotel, for a small extra cost. We received a warm welcome on check in but there was no one about on check out, just a key drop.

“OK, apart from the flies”

We went to our room on arrival and found swarms of little flies, like fruit flies, around the two windows and flying around the room. We contacted reception, who said they had another room with no flies. That room was almost as bad, but we were offered no more help, just told that was what happened… more

We went to our room on arrival and found swarms of little flies, like fruit flies, around the two windows and flying around the room. We contacted reception, who said they had another room with no flies. That room was almost as bad, but we were offered no more help, just told that was what happened in the area. We used our own insect spray and, when that ran out, we asked reception for more, but that was refused and we were told there was nothing more they could do. Put up and shut up! We bought some RAID, sprayed the room and went out for dinner. That partly solved the problem. A few other members of our group had similar issues. One night stay, thankfully. Room nicely appointed otherwise. Small window. Two queen beds. Table and two easy chairs. 2 usb bedside charging points that didn’t work, but two sockets close by. Fridge. Iron and board. tv. Luggage storage. Kettle. Wardrobe with hangers. Fridge. Shower, no bath. Mirror, not full length. Very hot rooms, no AC and we couldn’t open the window for air. We ate in the hotels’s steakhouse restaurant and we enjoyed the meal.
