It was suprise to do early C/I on FIFA match day, especially while I heard they upgrate my reservation, I feel relax and leisure in my room, decorated my room with country's flag and whatched one live steam then walk freezable to the stadium. Maybe previously has not a good stay, I wish I cound stay one or two more night, if next time the city its host another great game I will defintely choose Hotel Willo. Besides, Nespresso is fabulas, hopefully laundary will be free of charge next time staying~ So summary, Location to BC Place is within steps and room is really cleanliness & brighter, cannot hear other noise while door & windows are close, even in the day, staffs & lobby's atomsphere are quite good as well

Really great place to spend the night before an Alaskan cruise if leaving from Vancouver. This was a safe hotel for a single woman traveler, and it was clean and comfortable. I slept well, and it was located near a coffee place, some restaurants and a 7-11 on a corner nearby. I chose the room with the private bathroom, but having a microwave available in the shared kitchen was a real plus. The staff at the desk were very helpful, and the lobby was a comfortable place to wait if you need to check out before it's time to board a cruise ship, which is what I did. I highly recommend this hotel.

While I love this initiative, my stay at Willo was not great. I booked a room with a private bathroom, and while the bathroom was modern and nice, the room itself was tiny and absolute bare bones. The bed was fine, the curtains reminded me of a dorm room (block out curtains only, no sheer curtains)… more

While I love this initiative, my stay at Willo was not great. I booked a room with a private bathroom, and while the bathroom was modern and nice, the room itself was tiny and absolute bare bones. The bed was fine, the curtains reminded me of a dorm room (block out curtains only, no sheer curtains), the wires from the TV and other electrical equipment were glued to the wall and the glue was peeling off, and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room (only downstairs in the lobby). The bathroom sink is located outside the bathroom (it's next to the fridge in the room itself), which doesn't make sense to me. There is no restaurant onsite which meant no breakfast or room service (which is honestly not that big if a deal to me, but might be important for others). The hotel lobby seating area was gross. There are cream coloured couches that were so dirty and stained and felt sticky in some areas, it was just a bit yuck. Then to top it all off, the smoke alarm in my room went off the first night I was there and the staff couldn't fix it and maintenance had already left for the day. A staff member tried to fix it but couldn't, so I decided to leave and check in to another hotel at 11:30pm, which was stressful and inconvenient. Thankfully, I was given a full refund for my stay as I didn't even end up staying there one night. The reason I gave 3 stars is because the staff are really lovely and helpful, the hotel itself is located on a great area (walking distance to Gastown and Yaletown), and the price was the most budget friendly I found. If you're not into anything fancy and are traveling alone, Willo is ok. The standard rooms are a very tight squeeze for a couple, though I'm not sure if there are bigger rooms available. Sorry to say, but personally, I wouldn't stay at Willo in the future unless I was desperate.
