I stayed here recently with my child, and while there were some positives, there were also several issues that made the experience underwhelming. I booked through a third party and wasn’t informed ahead of time that the hot tub is permanently out of service. That was disappointing, as it was one of the reasons I chose the hotel. That said, the pool area was quiet — we mostly had it to ourselves, and there were plenty of towels available, which was great for my child. Our first night was in a room with a jetted tub. The tub itself was fine, though the shower head could definitely use an update. Unfortunately, the next morning we discovered a pile of ants coming from the floorboard. My child and I saw at least 50 ants. I cleaned the area myself and reported it. Staff said they checked the room multiple times but couldn’t find anything — yet we clearly did. We left the room and checked out early. No compensation was offered, which felt dismissive. The man working breakfast was very kind and welcoming. That was a highlight. We returned for a second night only because it was already prepaid. The third night was canceled and booked elsewhere. The second room (upstairs) had more issues: broken bathroom fixtures that kept falling off, a dirty cloth left in the shower, and empty shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers. The ice machine on our end of the building didn’t work. The beds were fine. One strange thing — the restaurant is permanently closed, but there are still signs up, the door is open, and the menu is still online as if it’s operating. It gives off a weird, abandoned vibe. Breakfast on Saturday wasn’t great — several guests noted the sausages looked undercooked. Overall, the hotel could be great, but right now it feels like a ghost of what it once was. There’s potential, but it really needs better maintenance, cleanliness, and transparency before I’d consider returning.
