We stayed here twice while visiting a family member at the North York General Hospital. The location was very good for public transit and Uber to the hospital. It also wasn't far from the subway station. We were here at a stressful time for our family and the hotel provided us with a peaceful and welcoming place to come back to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ambience in the lobby and the restaurant was calming. The gym is functional. The rooms are fairly large and I had a beautiful view both times I was there, once on the 14th floor and once on the 2nd floor. One highlight of this hotel is the small wooded area behind it. There are Muskoka chairs to sit in and enjoy nature. It really feels like a little getaway in the middle of the city. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I would be happy to stay here again and would recommend it to others.

I have a walker and I had a pleasant experience at this hotel the pool attendant Sue Hannah made sure that I was safe by thepool. She asked whether she could help me get into the pool even though that was not part of her job. She is a good ambassador or to your hotel. The man that cleaned the rooms… more

I have a walker and I had a pleasant experience at this hotel the pool attendant Sue Hannah made sure that I was safe by thepool. She asked whether she could help me get into the pool even though that was not part of her job. She is a good ambassador or to your hotel. The man that cleaned the rooms on the third floor in the morning was also very attentive he open doors for me so I my walker through and always asked whether I needed anything to make my stay better. These two employees deserve a raise. They are very friendly and they know what it means to great to give great customer service

My friend and I drove from Ottawa to attend a concert at Rogers Stadium, and although Crowne Plaza wasn’t my first choice, I’m glad I changed our booking at the last minute. I really appreciated the hotel’s cleanliness standards — our beds were spotless and comfortable, the room smelled fresh, and even the main lobby had a pleasant scent. We also ordered room service, and everything arrived clean and well‑presented. Our room was cleaned the following day as well, which we appreciated. Breakfast was also decent, and the lady who served us was absolutely lovely — very warm, attentive, and pleasant to deal with. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the building itself feels outdated. The lobby looks nice at first glance, but the hallways leading to the rooms are darker and the room doors look quite old. A fresh coat of paint would make a big difference. Our bathroom sink also made a very loud, strange noise whenever we turned on the water. It was annoying at first, but since we were only staying two nights, we didn’t report it. I’ll be returning soon for another concert, this time with my husband and two kids. I’m hoping we’ll be placed in one of the newer or recently updated rooms (if available). I understand the property is under new management, so I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements.
