“Great Location Friendly Staff”

Great Location & friendly check-in staff the property is close to many ski hills. The gentlemen who check me in was very helpful explaining the resort, where the good places to eat were. I was hopping to stay in the building with the pool as this is a much nicer building as I stayed in before.

Great location but poor snow/ice removal so was a difficult stay with treacherous stairs, sidewalks and roads. Older furniture and bedding but great location.

This was a "free week" gift for listening to a Wyndham Update. We arrived at the facility and while checking in was charged $200 registration fee. We were given a unit on the second floor of a building with steep stairs and no elevator. My wife & I are in our 80s and found it quite burdensome to get our luggage into the building. At check-in we were advised that this was a non-smoking facility and there was a penalty for smoking. The first thing we noticed was a very strong smoke smell throughout the unit, very intense in the bathroom. When I went to the desk, I was told there was no other unit and was given a large can of air freshener which masked the smoke smell for about an hour. The kitchen was quite old but everything worked in it. The clock in the dining area had no battery. As we got settled in to watch the MLB baseball game, we found the TV in the bedroom did not work. Another trip to the office to find out that they were removing the bedroom TVs because their new cable program only allowed 1 TV per unit. Would have been nice to be told that when checking in. The next day I inquired at the office if there were English speaking channels on the TV network. A young man working the desk said there were no English channels on their system. After I learned how to search the TV menu I did find channels from the US on the system. Written directions for using the menu would have been helpful when we first checked in. Also, all other units we have stayed through Wyndham and Shell (which we transferred to Wyndham) have had salt & Pepper and usually 1 or 2 days of coffee provided. This unit had only paper filters for the coffee maker. Since we arrived at night with some heat and serve dinners we had not purchased anything else at the market. Prior notice of these shortcomings would have been much nicer for our arrival. Lucking the beds were comfortable to sleep in but my wife did not like the drool-stained pillows when she looked beneath the pillowcases. We used two sets of pillowcases from the hide abed bedding. Overall, other than the smoke issue, the unit was adequate for our nighttime stay as we were gone sightseeing in Quebec City area during the day. We did all our sightseeing in 3 days and left before our week reservation was fulfilled and moved to a hotel for the rest of the week.

Perfect location, close but not too close to Quebec City and other attractions. Loved the layout of the 2 bedroom unit, we had a renovated room, so smelled of paint and all decor was not up yet. Downfall was updated surface stuff but not a full update, old linens, washer/dryer did not work had to call for repair. Not stocked as one would expect, no broom, dust pan, dishes/utensils missing...but all stuff we could deal with. Only part we really did not like in the space was that there was an ant issue. As for the water park, the set-up is great, it worked well for us especially the first half as there were not a lot of people then, it was very crowded closer to the end of our stay. The waterslides are not open all day and are not big so not ideal for older children but were a nice add on. The pools, pool area and sauna area needs to be cleaned more frequently, by mid day they should vacuum and clean as they were a bit gross on some days. We would stay again as we got a deal and all the issues we felt were small and manageable. Recommendations: Bring tubes (small lazy river but nothing to use in it there), bring your own beach towels, laundry supplies, dish tabs, soap and wash/dry clothes. Do not set your sights high...we found it fine but I know a lot of my friends would have been disappointed. We used it for the most part as a home base and only spend 1 whole day of 7 at the resort, it worked well for that. If you are picky or have high expectations this place is not for you....if you are more chill and plan to do a lot off site then it is perfect. Side note you do get access to an indoor pool and gym down the road which was a nice bonus, we didn't use it as we were pretty busy but we did go check it out and if we return we would make some use of it, especially if it was a rainy day. There are also a lot of cute little places to eat and a lot of different spots you can get fancy ice cream close by...this was a hit for our family.
