“More suitable for a couple”

I stayed 3 nights in a superior room with 2 friends. There is just a queen bed and a sofa bed and not much room to move when the sofa bed is out. My friends said the queen bed was comfortable but I slept on the sofa bed and it was horrible, like an old style sofa bed with springs sticking into every part of my body. We had a portable air conditioner in the room but didn’t use it the first night as it was so noisy. We had to turn it on the last two nights as there was a heat wave and there is no air conditioning throughout the residence. The room itself was ok and clean enough but the bathroom could use an upgrade and a new shower curtain. Lots of toilet paper, kleenex, toiletries and towels were provided. We had a desk, chair, ironing board and iron, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker and coffee pods. We chose this University for the free parking and the fact that we could take the bus into Old Quebec City and beyond. Unfortunately, there was a bus strike during our stay and we had to Uber. (Reasonable price for an Uber to just outside the walls of Old Quebec City). There is a large kitchen in the basement in which to cook but you have to bring your own pots, pans and any cooking utensils you might need. Front desk staff are very friendly and available 24/7. The residence is within a few minutes walk to a big mall and is surrounded by greenery and foot paths. I feel this residence would be a better choice for a couple and when it is a bit cooler so that one doesn’t have to turn on the noisy and bulky A/C unit. The sofa is ok to sit on but definitely not fit for sleeping.
