“American style hotel in Beijing”
My four night stay was great. The room was very clean and comfortable. The buffet style breakfast featured delicious Chinese food daily. “Great - except they didn't spend the money to run the A/C”
Spent 3 nights there last weekend with a group of 25 people. 5 rooms had no working A/C so the room temperature was 27 C overnight or 80 F. They simply refused to turn it on. “You get what you pay for”
The rooms were clean enough though the decor is dated which does not leave a very good impression. The service was not particularly outstanding but the staff were still pretty courteous and were very nice even when when had to call them up repeatedly for housekeeping requests. “Average”
I stayed here as part of a group tour for 3 nights. The first night my sister dropped chestnut shells on the floor and it remained there for a couple of nights. It was very noticeable. The room was tired and looked like it needed a makeover. Carpet was stained and patchy. Bathroom was old.
