Good location, Good room, good service. Avoid breakfast. Everything is good except the food, which is not really bad, but if you don’t speak Chinese it’s impossible to communicate with the Restuarant workers and check what they are serving. There are plenty of good food and the restaurants around the hotel, it’s better to use them.

“Huge and comfortable room ”

Check in and out where uneventful and smooth. Hotel overall had heightened security due to some ongoing conference in Xiamen. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Wifi was working mostly. Buffet breakfast was slightly below average expectations for a class of hotel like this.

Was there for one night as need to attend to a business nearby the next morning. Overall, the hotel has a snack bar which serves fruits and snacks, though limited; and it can only be accessed with your hotel room card. Upon check in, the hotel staff will take your personal photo before you are allowed access into the building. There is free WiFi in the hotel area. Room was comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfast was slightly below average expectations, with not a lot of choices, for a class of hotel like this. The only complaint that I had is that the Chinese restaurant on the 2/F needs to have much better quality control. Our best friend in Xiamen treated us to local delicacy dishes in this restaurant. However, their steamed oysters were not thoroughly cooked, thus 3 days after my return to my hometown Shanghai, I ended up with food poisoning symptoms chronic gastroenteritis, which took about 5 days to recover completely. The rest of the dishes were fine, though could certainly be cooked with less oil and salt. Another not so welcome complaint is that the front desk will call your room 3 minutes before the final checkout time, of 2 p.m.; and warn you that you will be fined if you do not check out on time.

I stayed 2 nights at this Hotel, late January 2016 and mid June 2016. The front-desk staffers have a very limited command of English that is compensated by their eagerness to help. Really lovely people, hope their Management will train them (do you really need 4 people behind the reception during off-peak hours?). The Room was spacious (I think I was given Room 2207) with a late 80's style. The business traveler will find all amenities for his / her stay, except for an iron and iron table. You need to ask the reception, and the set comes in promptly, the WiFi connection was fast. The work space was not pleasant due to an old and unstable armchair. Some of the equipment need a quick replacement. Breakfast starts at 0700, a bit late for business people. The quality of the food is below average, more like canteen standards. the Chef and the kitchens could spend a bit more time to cook proper Chinese dishes, with less oil, better presentation and tasty ingredients. All in all it was a short but pleasant experience due to the lovely staff who are willing to go out of their ways to make your stay more enjoyable.
