7 day Inn is a chain of affordable hotels in Guangzhou. I felt my choice of staying in the shangxiajiu branch was excellent, as the closest next hotel was 3x more expensive. There's a small lane just opposite the hotel where locals shopped for their meat, vegetables, etc. Plenty of small restaurants, convenient shops, 7-11 and a 3 min walk to the Shangxiajiu pedestrian street. Hotel provides clean bath towels sealed in bags, giving you added confidence of cleanliness. No breakfast, but that's the last thing you worried about, as there are plenty of shops serving authentic Cantonese congee and noodles. From this location as base, I Di-Di my way to major attractions. I learnt that using the premium cars on the Di-Di app is only a few RMB extra, but the cars are smart and spacious. Room and bathroom is spacious and at SG$50+ per day, I felt it was very much worth it.

The location really strategic located near by shangxiajiu shopping street and walking distance to metro n mall. for muslim travel the halal food was opposite the hotel n beside is also professional massage centre. but the is weird smell in the hotel and hotel could improve cleanliness. but overall… more

Me & my Wife have recently made a short trip just to venture the place for the first time. It was pleasant, food was good, people were friendly , food variety was there & the city was reasonably clean . People there are generally more friendlier compared to those in other cities in China. Majority of them are Cantonese ( as the name Guangzhou goes) . At one point of time when we were at a cafe having our tea (yum Cha) We felt we were as if in Hong Kong much more of being in any other city in china. The trip was pleasant not only because of the food & shopping but also of the friendliness of the locals there . We speak Cantonese & naturally we felt more at home with the Cantonese culture & surrounding there ....overall was good & the length of stay was just sufficient . We shall be there again if opportunity arises .

This was a very good place to stay while traveling on a budget, the location is fantastic, walking distance to shangxiajiu, close to subway stations and tons and tons of shops restaurants near by. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the staff don't speak much english but that is expected here… more

This was a very good place to stay while traveling on a budget, the location is fantastic, walking distance to shangxiajiu, close to subway stations and tons and tons of shops restaurants near by. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, the staff don't speak much english but that is expected here. For the price this is probably best option for staying in guangzhou. I been to 4* hotels near by that cost twice as much and is not as clean or convenient as this one.

“Simple, clean and excellent location”

With the price charged, this hotel met the basic requirement. Walking distance to shangxiajiu street and metro station. the small local market opposite this hotel is an addition attraction. will come back again.
