The cow at the restaurant loves the croissants, which are super crispy. Situated in the peaceful lakeside locale, this hotel offers colorful fruits and light-as-air macarons and other gourmet delights. The Chinese-style deep-fried dough sticks eliminate any hunger that may occur in your journey. The small chapel sits perfectly in the sunshine surrounded by palm trees, which is recommended for romantic weddings. Bike rental is available for a lakeside ride, promoting a healthy lifestyle. An on-site cinema enables entertainment at your doorstep. It's worth noting that Miya Zhao at the resort provided first-class guest services. Ok, good to manage expectations with this place first. It’s isn’t the most glamorous resort you’ll find....even for a Sheraton. It looks like it as part of an overall housing and recreation area around “Bailuhu” has underperformed....the housing looks substantially empty, the grocery store has closed, and the hotel itself seems like it’s only using a fraction of its total space (parking,restaurants, recreation space). But - it’s all still quite well kept. Maybe there’s a busier season? The rooms seemed well cared for and perfectly clean (which in my experience isn’t always 100% the case in underperforming 4/5 star properties in China). The breakfast selection was among the smallest I’ve seen in this type of hotel, but at least things were hot and seemed fresh. We did eat a quick lunch at the hotel which was the most underwhelming part...slow initial service, and over-priced as you’d expect. Seemed to be a lot of people visiting with Meituan coupons. Probably my favorite part overall was the lake location - good landscaping, nice areas to walk and bike around, and all just a few kilometers from the expressway (and a sub-2 hour drive from most of Shenzhen). Probably a good place for conferences or even just spending time with family on a quick getaway.

I’ve been to many Marriott hotels and Sheraton hotels around the world. But I’ve never encountered any steam room with such an unsafe design, which caused my brother-in-law unexpected burn and pain. He was sent to two different hospitals to get the proper treatment, and he finally returned to the hotel around 2am in the morning! The indoor swimming pool was good size, but the steam room was tiny. Also, I saw people using their mobile phones in the locker room and steam/sauna rooms! I am a SPG Gold Elite member, I was told since my room was booked via a travel agency, I didn’t receive any SPG Gold Elite member recognition/benefits.
