Our experience at Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay on Hainan Island was absolutely excellent. From arrival to departure, we were extremely satisfied with the services, surroundings, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The resort is beautiful, clean, very well maintained, and perfect for a relaxing, worry-free vacation. However, we would especially like to highlight one thing that made our stay even more enjoyable — the outstanding help and kindness of Rojan. His willingness to assist, friendly attitude, and excellent English were a huge advantage for us as non-Chinese-speaking tourists. Rojan was always happy to advise us, help with arrangements, explain local customs, and assist whenever we needed anything. Thanks to him, we felt very comfortable and truly welcomed, which we especially appreciated in China, where English is not always widely spoken. For English-speaking tourists, this kind of support is incredibly valuable and significantly improves the overall travel experience. Thanks to Rojan, we were able to fully enjoy our vacation without any stress. We highly recommend Sheraton Sanya Haitang Bay, and if you have the opportunity, don’t hesitate to reach out to Rojan — your stay will be even more pleasant. …”where our world came together”… …its only been a week, but seems like forever since we left, after almost a week at the resort…and what a resort she is! there are many resort properties along Haitang North Road and for the old ones, most of their layout looked similar. The pools are facing the Haitang Bay beach (5-10 minutes walking) which you cant really see coz of trees..other side of hotel faces the gardens/well kept landscaping…if you’re staying on 1/F, where the different sizes/depths pools are, not including ours ie ours had private ‘wake up in the morning/return from touristing/before going to bed’ pool which you can walk into via steps from sitting area outside room, sliding door separated… we love the water so for us it was ‘swim as much you can in a day’ … if you do your research/homework, like we always do prior to visiting a new place on earth, you’ll discover the beach is not open to the public/hotels’ guests due to large and dangerous waves… you have a better chance with other beaches outsinde Haitang, altho we we’rent so lucky with Dadonghai on the day we chose ie was off limits again due to waves….so like every one else we just got our feet, & whatever we could get wet, at edge…took 360’ pics, etc … there are beach staff watching from the shade so dont take risks, as we saw few people get reprimanded the hotel does provide free shuttle to/from the airport but the timing didnt match our plane’s arrival, thus the hotel limo pick up service Our rooms (a golf cart away) were huge, user-friendly, connecting, but not from balconies ie from pool, you have to swim if want to come/go to either room, over carefully step over shrubs between rooms, which staff did when cleaning pool……walkin-ish wardrobe/closet area …you have a half-bath, across from that is your separate tub and shower room (incl rainshower and sliding louvres separating the bedroom… beds large and comfy…basic wall mounted tv, cabinets, mini-fridge, bottled water, side sofa, table & chairs, padded deck chairs outside and a thing to hang wet clothes….none of those fancy furniture #justthewayilikeit F&B service… we arrived after 9pm, after check in, unpacking, quick swim, we ordered room service, which is 24hrs…our package included breakfast, served @Feast (which happens to be same name of the brkfast outlet in Sheraton Grand Macao)…basic asian/western but lots of varieties, in & out door seating … InAzia has an outdoor terrace, dinner only, but comes with live performance which was a good location for my son’s birthday celebration (albeit they had to do it also in Feast, due to poor weather that night)… we were also able have breakfast at JW Kitchen (ie at neighboring JW Marriott Sanya , being an option (i think) if your daily schedule cant match the low/high patronage time in Feast…theres a lobby bar/lounge with a killer view …for those unaware Marriott purchased the Sheraton brand in 2016, from its then owners, Starwood. lots of kid-friendly activities, things to do, a gift shop, a mini-zoo and a train that can take you around the property …about 15-20 min walk from hotel theres a small complex with a mini-mart, restaurants, souvenir shop.. the I-SPA is on JW Marriott side, but accessible to Sheraton guests of course And i think thats the gist of it, our 6D5N…It’s been 8 years since the buy, but I can personally guarantee that Marriott has allowed this property to retain its Sheraton image, style and service standards, especially the clientele of both brands being quite different…at Sheraton Sanya, I would like to thank the ff, who all made us warmly feel welcome and at home: our airport to hotel driver, Mr Fung, who drove us safely to the hotel (highways are pretty dark at night unless in city area)…Angela & Ruth @Reservations….Crys & her staff @I-Spa…Zone, Nicole, Daily Kiara, Alan and Kim @JW Kitchen breakfast service…Kevin Chan, Porter Su, Kit Liang, Siri Huang @Feast/InAzia & Dolphin Zhang/Devin Chang @Room Service…Wallace Zheng/Austin Huang @Housekeeping (or maybe Engineering..)… Karry Yi, Joker Liang, Ronaldo Xing, Jase, Bieber Zhang, Peter Wang and especially Marin@Concierge/Bell Service….Edge Zhang, Ling @FO/Guest Services…and the biggest shout out goes to the hotel’s mvp, Miki Peng/Guest Service Manager, who met us night we checked in and was always there to assist with anything during that week, including choosing Mr Luo, our driver, when we hired a car via hotel to go to the tourist spots… we liked him so much, we specifically requested for him to take us to airport on departure… the guy’s got great taste in music …we asked and he said it’s ok so feel free to request for him thru Miki if you hire a half/day use car service, vs going around by taxi… thanks to Alana, who seems to have a big & important role in upkeeping the Sheraton standards of service, as seen through performance of all staff we met ∨ interacted with. Finally, Kevin, although I think i’ve expressed (enough of) our gratitude through our emails, excuse me to repeat and say THANK YOU for everything, making our first time in Sanya, Hainan so very memorable…you have a very good team doing an excellent job providing the best customer service to your clients! Bravo!!!

“Kids friendly, other than that pretty mid”

Been debating whether I should give 2 or 3 stars. Supposed to get our room at 2pm, but we didn’t get I til an hour later. There is not a real place to rest while waiting because it’s is so hot everywhere. There is no AC in the lobby for some reason. The only place with decent AC is the elevator. Th… more

Been debating whether I should give 2 or 3 stars. Supposed to get our room at 2pm, but we didn’t get I til an hour later. There is not a real place to rest while waiting because it’s is so hot everywhere. There is no AC in the lobby for some reason. The only place with decent AC is the elevator. The service is okay, again, they kept us waiting in the heat for an hour. The room and the view are pretty nice on the other hand, got bunch of pools here for you to choose. I will say it’s super kids friendly, even got a petting zoo, but most of the equipments and facilities appear to be old and not quite taken care of. The beach is okay, not super big, only a small restricted area to swim and that is depend on the weather too.
