Sheraton Xi’an North is conveniently located in the middle of Xi’an city. It is right next to subway line 2, on the stop of Long Shou Yuan. It is very convenient to use the subway to travel to various Xi’an attractions and museums throughout the city. The lobby of Sheraton Xi’an is gorgeous, with a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It gives a grand feel of the hotel. As a Bonvoy titanium member, I was upgraded to a King Suite. The room is huge, with a separate full living room with its own bathroom, and a bedroom with king bed, bathtub, toilet and shower. I particularly enjoy the large desk space in the living room where I can comfortably use to get the work done. The hotel provides excellent food and dining options. The executive lounge provides hors d'oeuvres from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. The highlight is its great dessert selection and the specialty noodle of Qishan minced port, a Xi’an favorite. The breakfast buffet is equally impressive. The highlights are a large array of manned stations and local delicacies such as Xi’an minced pork bun, Xi’an specialty pancakes, Biang Biang noodle (a local noodle specialty, Biang Biang reflects the sound when cook flaps the dough, and it is specially wide), crumbled flatbread in beef soup, vegetarian black pepper spicy soup. I found that the hotel staffs very attentive, particularly the services of the staffs of the executive lounge. Overall, I enjoy my stay at Sheraton Xi’an North tremendously.

“Great hotel, good location, poor smoking control”

Lifetime titanium, traveling with 7 and 11 year old children. Lobby lovely, hotel right next door to Line 2, longcheng (or something like that), exit B. Very useful for getting into old city (2 stops) or to/from airport. Very cheap. Use Alipay or WeChat or cash to purchase tickets at the stations… more

Lifetime titanium, traveling with 7 and 11 year old children. Lobby lovely, hotel right next door to Line 2, longcheng (or something like that), exit B. Very useful for getting into old city (2 stops) or to/from airport. Very cheap. Use Alipay or WeChat or cash to purchase tickets at the stations. Executive lounge large and nice. Small selection of foods and light bites in evening. Small plates, not designed as dinner (unlike other Bonvoy lounges in China), but you can do multiple small plates if you wish. No issue bringing children in for a snack and a drink. Restaurant breakfast ample and varied. Must ask for water, though, as no cold water available. They bring bottles from the bar, when asked. Two double bed room good for a family of four. Children free with adults. Bathroom walls open up to the room, if desired, and our kids enjoyed taking a bath whilst still chatting with everyone in the room. The reason for knocking a star off is the proliferation of smokers everywhere,and the staff either don’t care or are powerless to change it. We had to move from our first room as the patrons across the hall were smoking with their room door own - filling the whole floor with pungent smoke. Rather than getting them to stop, we changed floors. Could smell smoke periodically in various hallways and openly smoking in lobby area near bathrooms. Pretty poor experience to always smell smoke in such a nice hotel.
