Large, well-appointed hotel in a fantastic neighborhood, within walking distance of the French Quarter. Metro station and many dining and shopping options on your doorstep. Amazing revolving restaurant on the 48th floor. The rooms are spacious by city standards, clean, and well-equipped, although some areas could benefit from a bit of maintenance and care. The breakfast buffet is good, and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. If you’re staying on a higher floor, you’re in for some amazing views, which really add to the experience. Overall, this hotel offers very good value for money.

“Very tall”

Very tall, to say the least. Good hotel in the middle of a busy district containing restaurants & shops. Bizarre viewing window into the bathroom.

“All glitz but terrible service”

Nice hotel, huge open foyer, rooms are comfortable. We had an issue a couple of times with the toilet blocking but it was sorted pretty quickly. Breakfast was very good, plenty of selection. Nice hotel, huge open foyer, rooms are comfortable. We had an issue a couple of times with the toilet blocking but it was sorted pretty quickly. Breakfast was very good, plenty of selection. The chef was a bit temperamental, got upset when I took some lettuce which was amongst a selection of other salad thing which was expected as it seems was for display only… started calling to one of the staff to come over in quite a rude manner. Actually the let down for this hotel was the staff. The concierge was as unfriendly as you get. Barely saw a smile on any staffs face. I went to ask for milk satchets or a small amount of milk for tea in our room ( no milk/ coffee mate supplied) .Concierge pointed at reception who told me to ring housekeeping. I told them that they didn’t understand which is why I went to them. They sent me to the cafe who wanted to charge me for enough milk for two cups of tea/coffee.! They then sent me to the dining area which had closed. Someone was walking through there and kindly gave me a small jug of milk. The next issue was the next night I asked the cafe where we could get a light meal, they said they didn’t do light meals. I then asked reception if they had a room service menus, there was nothing in the room. They told me to ring room service and order but I couldn’t do that without seeing the menu so they had someone bring one up. When we went to order around 6.30pm, they were busy and not picking up so we decided to just go down to the restaurant and see what they had. Amazingly they had the light meal we wanted and were told they didn’t do, and what we couldn’t get through room service and paid a lot less. Despite how nice the hotel was, it was all too hard. If you ask for a packaged breakfast to take away because of an early departure, will consist of two hard boiled eggs, a banana, small bun and croissant and a bottle of water. The handles in the box will break before you get out the food. One last foot note…. Handwritten note put on the reception desk said… if staff are asleep, please wake them. Just what you would expect from a top hotel!

LOL It would've been a 5 star review if the room itself didn't look so worn down. The bathroom looked old (like another post mentioned) and you can see the deterioration in the bathroom. Coming out of the tub was a step down and could be dangerous. I am a short person and had instances where I could've slipped or fall trying to get out of the shower/bath rub. The room is a non-smoking room but it smelled like cigarette upon arrival. However, HOWEVER, the housekeepers are wonderful, really nice, friendly, and quick. They (two ladies) came in and cleaned my room while I was still doing my makeup and even let me stay in the room while they were cleaning (I have no problem with them cleaning while I'm still in the room unlike many other hotels). Used a translating apps to communicate and all went well. No laundry room whatsoever. Would've added another star if there was. Laundry service is quite expensive but this is already a known fact. Laundromat is also quite a distant. Overall, lobby and outside is indeed shouting 5 star, but the room itself (particularly the bathroom) is not. Almost forgot, the metro is almost directly across from the hotel and there is a Family Mart a few building down. Would I stay here again? Probably not because there is no self-service laundry room. Would probably opt for somewhere closer to a self-service laundromat or has a self-service laundry room like Holiday Inn or Atour.
