Definitely one of the better options for Pingyao. Location is excellent, a stone's throw from the North Gate where you can buy tickets to climb the wall and visit the preserved buildings. We stayed in the Water Hotel in Pingyao for 3 nights in the Deluxe Suite. The Hotel is located very conviniently near the south gate in the ancient town. The room was very clean and quit.
