In case u buy on the spot, here are the good seats no.: a) The romance of songcheng : 二区入口（entrance 2）尊宾席A区(zone A) 5排30座 (5th row, seat no.30）U can choose to sit near to the first chair of the same row. If we are not mistaken, ours one is 1st to 3rd chair. b) Impression westlake: zone A4, 3排32座 (3rd row, seat no.32） 3) Best hotel rates that can be found for 3 pax travel in a group. Most of other hotel only available for 2pax. The comfort worth for the penny. Room type: Family room 4) U can borrow umbrella from reception during rainy days if they have extra. 5) Hotel reception provides coins changing service. Great service! U need to have small coins ready for taking bus. 6) U can place yr unused luggage over reception if u decide to take bullet train to other area and u knew that u will return. Bullet train 高铁 only valid 20kgs for each pax. No knifes, scissors and cutter are allowed. 7）Walking distance to 南宋御街 8）In front of the hotel. there is a small home-based restaurant provides cheap and fresh breakfast (oriental type). Forgot the shop name, "手X面". Can check with Ms. Qiu. Undoubtedly, it is a best location for backpackers or self-travel group. The bus stands are located just right in front of the hotel. It provides a list of bus nos. that can travel to various tourist attraction spots. You just need to take 8-10 minutes walk to West lake. This is the second time we stayed in this hotel just right after we back from Wuxi, as our return plane will depart from Hangzhou. We have stayed in 7th floor Family room. I prefer to stay in 5th & 7th floor than 9th floor，as the bathroom lighting is more efficient in those 2 floors. Mattress for the big beg is comfort and cozy, but this does not applied to the sofa bed. The sofa bed mattress is a bit hard. Our room position does not face directly to the street, so even staying in 5th floor is fine to us. Its bathroom c/w 2 frosted wooden frame sliding doors. No worry of privacy issue. The wc and shower area are separately divided with a frosted glass door at right and left hand side, with the basin located in the middle. In term of customer service, i found this hotel lack of flexibility. The breakfast that they included in the pricing must be utilized within the day. It is not transferable to other day due to late arrival. I found this is a bit not friendly and not negotiable to the customers. Except those junior staff, mostly senior staff is not so friendly and lack of patience. Hardly see smiles on their face too. We get to know one of the staff, called “Miss Qiu Li Bo”. She is very friendly and helpful. We got the a very good seats and height at both of the large scale performance tickets(Impression Westlake and The Romance of SongCheng) she ordered for us. For facility, i will say that the hotel is a bit old and really need to refurbish, we faced air-con break down and we can't enter into our 9th floor room in the first time arrival from KL. We then being relocated to 5th floor immediately.(Good effort from Miss Qiu again) Most importantly, there is private hookers access to this hotels with their name card slotted inside the room which we felt it will somehow affect the image of the hotel. Management should seriously look into this issue. In the late middle of the late night i have heard lady wearing high heels walking down at the safety staircase right beside my family room. The exit doors always stay open. We even receive name card from them a few times. One night there is even a lady wrongly knocked our door around 1-3am. She non-stop knocking and ringing the bell until we felt like she wanted to breaking in. We decide to call the reception to send security up to handle the issue. We love self-travel tour. Besides above unpleasant experience, this hotel location and cosiness is acceptable for us. We will consider it as 3 stars hotel. My comments just a reference to those who are like me prefers to travel on their own. Not to those who used to travel with tour agent and enjoy staying in good designed hotel environment. Hope all my info above can help u in making yr decision.

“Good value”

My fiance and I have now stayed here twice - most recently for 3 nights around Xmas. It's in a great location near the Westlake and bike stations, reasonably close to a subway stop (Longxianqiao Station); plenty of malls nearby if that's what you want. My fiance and I have now stayed here twice - most recently for 3 nights around Xmas. It's in a great location near the Westlake and bike stations, reasonably close to a subway stop (Longxianqiao Station); plenty of malls nearby if that's what you want. Rooms are small but clean and do the job; good WIFI access in rooms too. We only speak a little Chinese, but managed to communicate with reception staff without any problems.

Stayed in Hangzhou for one night to watch Zhang YiMou's Impression Westlake. Took the train from Shanghai HongQiao to Hangzhou East Railway Station and another 15 min train ride to Longxiangqiao Station. Hotel is a 10 minutes walk from the station via the mall to Jiefang Rd. West Lake is also a 10 minute walk away. Hangzhou noodle restaurant Kui Yuan Guan just opposite the hotel. Staff very courteous and helpful especially the restaurant staff. Buffet breakfast spread simple but good enough. Prices reasonable.

Looks like this hotel has been refurbished recently. My room was good no complaints. Staff was ok, but speak very little English. Maybe that stopped them from being a little bit more friendly. Located near to shopping malls and night market (walking distance, don't need taxi). Also near to a halal restaurant which is just next to the night market. About 10 minutes walk to the lake.
