Absolutely loved our stay at The Rarotongan Beach Resort and Lagoonarium. The whole family loved every moment. Joe from the Activities was the highlight of our stay. We did the fish feeding and snorkelling tour with Joe, and wow.. It was amazing.. the fishes knew exactly what time Joe shows up to feed them. We’ve never seen anything like it. We swam around the lagoon with Joe watching as the fishes followed him and surrounded us the whole time. And not forgetting the turtles.. wow.. we saw 7 turtles in total. Joe knew exactly where they live and their names.. amazing.. A beautiful experience and moment I’ll never forget. Thank you Joe for an experience of a lifetime. The activities at the resort were 5 plus.. again Joe.. a man of many talents.. does it all.. from snorkelling tour to drumming lessons, ukulele lessons and so on.. I could literally write a book. The kids loved the coconut husking with Joe.. when ever the kids get coconut.. they would always ask to see Joe.. Such and amazing person, full of knowledge always smiling. If you ever stay at the Rarotongan, look for Joe. The best tour guide. You can find him at the beach hut. He will give you the best experience.

“Heaven on Earth”

I honestly do not understand why people have this Property rated so low as we have just stayed for our 2nd holiday in 12 months and intend on returning again. We consider it Heaven on Earth. We recently stayed with our family of 13, including our grandkids. We were recognised by Norman on arrival, who even after 12 months, remembered our names. We couldn’t believe it. By the end of the first day, he knew every one of our names and used them throughout our 7 day stay. The kids were very impressed. The meals, staff, drinks (especially the cocktails) were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and all meals served were hot and fresh. The staff are incredible. We wish to make special mention of Norman, Jayesh, Danesh, Sake and Kally. We were greeted each afternoon and asked about our day. Service was mostly fast and always friendly. When busy we just put ourselves on Raro time and enjoyed the magnificent views of the lagoon and sunsets. The accommodation was authentic, well equipped and clean. A service was offered daily and if we opted out, we were given a $10 credit off our room account. We were still provided with fresh towels if we took this option. Mary was our housekeeper and she was also lovely. To sum up, thank you so much to everyone. We all had a fantastic time and we will definitely be back. We felt like family from day one and this is rare in today’s fast world. Well done team. See you soon. We miss you already!

“Best holiday in Cook Islands”

What a fabulous resort. We opted for the Adults only section at Sanctuary but was able to utilise the Rarotongan facilities as well. What a fabulous resort. We opted for the Adults only section at Sanctuary but was able to utilise the Rarotongan facilities as well. Their nightly entertainment was better than Sanctuary, so we mainly had dinner over there. The Legends show as amazing so highly recommend booking that in advance. Food was always really delicious and lots to choose from. Best pizza we’ve had in a long time. We had a beachfront villa upstairs and it was fabulous. Very spacious and bed was very comfortable. All the staff were wonderful and happy in their daily roles. Recommend buying the 10 trip bus pass as it’s the easiest to get around if you don’t want to rent a car or scooter. The snorkeling in the lagoon was again fabulous. Highly recommend booking the Koko Island cruise. Such a fun day well spent. We will definitely be back soon.

We stayed for a week and loved the Resort. The rooms were clean (Thank you Sia) and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We especially thought Sake went over and beyond to make sure we were happy while working at the front desk or as our waiter. He is such a hard worker) He even offered (on his day off) to show us to a special spot that was not on the map. ♥️ The resort offered complimentary snorkeling gear, paddle boards, and kayaks to all the guests which is amazing! The water and views were great and the beach was nice and quiet. We even got to see two turtles on our last day snorkeling! The only wish we had was that there was a little more variety on the menu. Like offering "specials" each day for lunch and dinner. It was the same menu all day, everyday so we ventured out for food on some days since we stayed 7 days and wanted a little more variety Thank you again a great stay. Can't wait to come back!
