Fabulous week at this hotel. Room, location, staff all excellent. Stayed half board and the breakfast was great and dinner there was plenty of choice - occasionally felt it could have been a bit warmer but nothing major. We ate at the steak house which was lovely though a bit expensive. Plenty of sunbeds and outside pool was lovely - nice towels provided too. 130 steps down to the bottom of the hotel but they really weren't too bad and always the buggy to drop you off and pick you up if you don't fancy the walk which was a great service! All in all we had a superb week and would definitely return.

Having just returned from a week’s stay in Hotel Croatia. I feel I need to share this frank and honest review, so others do not have the same expectations we did. Having a 5 star rating we expected just that. A 5 star out of this world experience, for a special occasion. This hotel falls below this rating for following reasons :- FOOD - only ate twice in evening - food is 3 star at best. Limited choices, mushy food. Limited salad option, hotel meat not cooked to order - desserts - 2 cakes choices and ice cream …. Dining room very corporate feel. No ambience at all. No show cooking, meet and greet was limited, In fact anyone could have walked in front door and walked downstairs and in to restaurant as no checks done at breakfast time. HOUSEKEEPING - room not cleaned at all on day 1. Day 2 - we had no towels, so had so grab some from trolley. Day 3 - bathroom floor still not cleaned as spilt something on day 1 and marks still there. Day 4 - balcony had never been touched as leaves etc from storm still lying there. POOL SERVICE - broken loungers and umbrellas, lying around pool. No mattresses on loungers, No pool drink service and huge queues at bar with dirty glasses etc still on outside tables. BUGGIE SERVICE - 1 buggy serving whole hotel !!! So this resulted in queues at top and bottom of the hill and a longer waiting time. 2 other buggies sitting doing nothing with staff and concierge desk standing around. We had an amazing week - due to outstanding views and the gorgeous location. Howver at no point were we enticed back to the bar jn hotel, as 5 star prices for an empty room with chairs in it. As if they had just been placed there, No soft furnishing internally at all. This is a very large corporate hotel, trying to do both holiday makers and business guests. Fair enough - however do not dupe the customer with 5 star ratings on all holiday websites. I spoke to the Jet 2 rep, who was not in the slightest bit interested. I am sure I will not have been the only person to raise my concerns with her. Views to die for, gorgeous village. This hotel just needs some TLC and a true honest rating system, as prices are not cheap. Mostly British guests. If you wish these guests to return you need to sort these flaws.

This is our 4th visit to the hotel Love the location And the standard of the rooms. We had booked half board just in case of bad weather.we ate the buffet on the first night as quite tired. I can honestly say the quality of the food was 3star at best.The buffet is smaller than previous years.we did look at the buffet on some other nights, not good.Ate in the harbour for the rest of the holiday. It's such a lovely hotel but the quality of the food let's it down

Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is huge! Room was clean and comfortable, nothing was a bother to the staff. Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff. This hotel is huge! Room was clean and comfortable, nothing was a bother to the staff. The complimentary golf buggy service up and down the hill to/from the hotel was great! The buffet restaurant food at breakfast and dinner lets the place down, food choice is limited and not hot enough, definitely not a 5 star experience, we spoke to a few other guests who also said hotel was lovely but wouldn't recommend eating there. On our first night there was a thunderstorm and on arriving at the restaurant it would appear that hotel staff had not anticipated that so many of the B&B guests would stay in and eat at the hotel, the queue was very long and our first impression was not great. This hotel is lovely however the food offering will stop us returning.
