Our last night here as I type. Just the wife and I stayed for 1 week at half board. The food and choices of it are quality. The rooms are of a high standard although with a travel inn vibe and feel. I don't think there are any with a bad view. You will either get a sea cove view or mountain view. Both are equally stunning. There is a very relaxed atmosphere and ambience about the place. It's surrounded externally by top class restaurants a few tourist shops and 2 spar type shops. The town itself has a small dock where you will often see cruise ships and yachts docked. The beach is of small stone and the swimming pool itself has sea water and bit Kikichlorinated fresh water. There is plenty of seating and no need to rush for a deck chair as there are plenty on the beach or around the pool. Recommend the boat trips that are on offer at the dock. If you go to Dubrovnik I would suggest a better experience is to go late afternoon/evening on bus and get a bolt ride home as the buses are every 2hr and usually packed and the castle is really hectic during the day.

“Great hotel”

After a cruise with TUI (Marella) this was our stay week. Around 25 miles from Dubrovnik along a scenic drive the hotel is really good. After a cruise with TUI (Marella) this was our stay week. Around 25 miles from Dubrovnik along a scenic drive the hotel is really good. Advertised as a 5 star I'd give it 4 star+ Well maintained, very clean with fabulous views from Restaurant Large pool with adjacent bar. Nice Sauna, steam room and inside pool. Also decent gym Rooms good with excellent facilities including some English TV channels and all the facilities you'd expect ie safe/well stocked fridge albeit a tad expensive Shower over bath so not suitable for someone with limited mobility Staff very nice and pleasant Food good with decent options What takes it from from a 5 star is Lack of entertainment Bar that has no atmosphere Lack of hand sanitising stations in Restaurant Lack of a strong maitre d' to enforce some acceptable standards of dress at dinner (some not so desirable clothing options on show!) Recommend Bus trip to Dubrovnik. Bus stop outside front door and get off when driver hollers 'OLD TOWN!' Only just over 3 euros one way and efficient (it's quite a few steps down into the old town) Locally-recommend local bars especially the first one you come to if you go out of hotel and turn right (barmaid is Helen) Out of hotel and turn left nice snack bar called Bite Bay. Along that road you can also walk a mile or so to the Osmine hotel where, albeit its all inclusive, visitors can purchase drinks from pool bar. Further afield Slano itself worth further investigation as well as Ston and Korcula ( which we did on a TUI excursion) Great location and with a bit more finesse it would be 5 star. Enjoyable stay

Just back from a wonderful 10 days in Slano. The location of the hotel is absolutely fabulous with its own beach and the views are amazing. The room was a little on the small side for three (we had our teenage son with us) but perfectly workable and housekeeping came everyday and kept the room spotless. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Evening meals are buffet style, again ample choice and good quality - can feel a little repetitive later in the week but the half board option is very reasonable and well worth it - we went out a couple of evenings and enjoyed the local restaurants for a change of scenery. We were expecting a disco which the younger members of our party would have particularly enjoyed but we couldn’t find it!! We asked where it was and were told it was closed for repair following water damage? The staff were GREAT - always friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. Special thank to Elise - Merci beaucoup! - she was a superstar! Slano itself is fairly small and quiet, with a lovely gentle pace, friendly people snd is largely unspoilt - visit now while it is still that way!!
