We stayed here as a group of two girls and after reading reviews we were sceptical, however, we really enjoyed our stay here. There is a gorgeous view of the sea from balconies a pool area and the accommodation itself is exactly what you’d expect for self catering apartment. While reviews are right that it is a lot of up hill walking I think that is just the area in general and not a fault of the apartments. The slope up to the main road is easily walked even in high temperatures. There are lots of steps around the region down to the beach so if that is a concern the region itself may not be suitable rather than a critique of the accommodation. There is a supermarket at the top of the slope which is a 5 min walk max and has everything in you could need. The restaurant over the road we wouldn’t recommend as they were really rude and the service was poor but there is another slightly down the road. The number 10 bus stops not far from the accommodation and takes you straight into Dubrovnik. Ubers are also very easy to get an we used these most times when going on nights out in Dubrovnik and took only around 15/20 mins. Mlini is nearby was a 25 min walk or about 5 mins in a taxi. Would stay again if I was in the area.

Firstly everything was as nice as expected for a self catering holiday apartment that we had. After looking at the previous photos in reviews, our apartment seems to have been updated and was very nice overlooking the pool as all seemed to do the same. Most days the pool was at a great temperature with the water being fresh water not salt. Sun beds were always available with parasols available also. The pool was never packed and was ideal for families with children. There are some breath taking views from the pool area looking out over the bay. Location Advertised as Mlini, but was not and actually in Soline which is a 5 minute drive away from Mlini. There was a pizzeria located a short walk 2 minutes at the top of the road which catered for drinks and food with also a takeaway service for both. Also the steak house was within a 5 minute walk away on the top road where the pavement was available to walk on. Venturing much further than these locations on the top main road meant walking on the road itself which could be busy with traffic. The road opposite the steak house (which incidentally is where the bus stops are located to travel to either Dubrovnik or Cavtat) although we used Uber which was fine. The road opposite led you downhill to some great little pebble beaches and beach bars. We used coco beach bar where the staff were lovely. Sunbeds were available at a daily charge there. Dubrovnik by Uber cost about £12 and Cavtat being about the same but in the opposite direction, both places were a delight. We also visited Srebreno, which was half way point to Dubrovnic, where the beach is nice with bars and restaurants. Also there is a supermarket and shopping centre a short walk away from the beach. Marnic apartments were hosted by Anna and family who were very friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend her home made cake if offered. To sum up, we did not have a car and found that the general location of the apartment was a bit isolated. No general store is within walking distance and therefore all your provisions need to be planned whilst in one of the other areas. Overall we feel we got a bargain little holiday here and will probably be going back to Croatia again.

“Pricey for what it is”

Used this place many times and it suits our needs, unfortunately running the risk of pricing itself out of the market . Very convenient for the airport whencatching an daylight. The restaurant at the top of the road is very good but involves a bit of a climb.

“Good budget accommodation but a bit isolated”

Modern, comfortable, well equipped studio apartments with wonderful views. One restaurant a five minute stroll away and two more about 20 minutes walk away so a car is needed if you don’t like walking and want to eat in different places. Modern, comfortable, well equipped studio apartments with wonderful views. One restaurant a five minute stroll away and two more about 20 minutes walk away so a car is needed if you don’t like walking and want to eat in different places. The buses are close by and are regular and good value. Marnic is about in the middle of Old Town Dubrovnik and Cavtat - both places that are worth a visit. The area slopes steeply to the coast so getting to the sea and back on foot involves a bit of a climb. The beaches are mainly shingle and the water is clear. No shops in walking distance.
