“Nice hotel with large rooms near the centre”

We had a large room, which was great. The hotel is small, but quiet and nice. It is very close to the centre, just short walk distance to Stodolni. Breakfast was ok. I recommend this hotel to others..

Located in a quieter area outside the city center, was quite easy to find (google maps). Reception is manned during the morning only (not sure what happens if you have a problem…) so check-in was via a lock-box (not a problem). There is parking outside the hotel in a sort of courtyard/driveway. The hotel seems to be an old apartment building reparceled up into rooms: my room was quite large, with old, wooden furniture –sort of charming. There was no minibar fridge (each floor had a fridge in the hallway with various items for sale - reasonable prices). Room had no fan or a/c, which was not good during the heatwave. Lighting was OK (could be brighter), wifi signal was fast but weak, cutting out from time to time. Had a medium-sized LCD with no English channels. Bathroom fine. Breakfast was OK, perhaps a bit sparse, with a Nescafe-like coffee machine (some filter coffee would be much easier and much better).

I stayed in this hotel for two nights in September of 2019 and generally enjoyed my stay. The reception desk staff were friendly and helpful and spoke decent English. You get a traditional set of keys for your room, but there is the secuity measure of a chip on the keyring that you need to use to operate the elevator to get to the floors where the rooms are. My room was more spacious than I usually see in three star hotels, that spaciousness also extended to the bathroom. My room included a decent wardrobe case and dresser as well as a writing desk and easy chair. The bed was just the right firmness for a good night's sleep. The hotel and surrounding area is peaceful and quiet and there is a nice Greek restaurant in the same building, so good food is close at hand. Where this hotel really shines is in its location. It's a short walk from Ostrava's main bus terminal and a public transportation stop with three tram lines that run directly to the main train station and get you within an easy walking distance of the centre of the city. Breakfast is typical continental self-serve. However, there was a lady working there cooking eggs to order. The hotel could improve by updating its decor, however. All the interiors feel rather dated and could certainly benefit from a freshening up of their looks. Additionally, the bathroom in my room had a slightly musty smell to it, which I think was coming from some mould in the shower stall door tracks. A smaller complaint would be that all the channels on the TV were only in Czech. Any three star hotel I've ever been to in the Czech Republic has at least one non Czech channel, usually English or German. Overall, I have no problem recommending this hotel for a stay of a couple of nights.

“Good for business stop”

Hotel is very well located. 10 minutes slow walk from Stodolni street. It is on the other side of railway station so in quiet area. The biggest advantage is no problem with parking. Breakfast was really good. Disadvantages is lack of Polish channels, poor quality Internet and quite old rooms.
