It all starts at the reception with a very friendly person, and that makes the first impression already. Very helpfull and willing to explain and aanswer all the questions with a smile. Very clean hotel, large rooms, perfect airco, bathroom. The only 'negative' point is the small breakfast area during crowded moments, but since we were able to enjoy breakfast outside it didn't really matter. Note that the hotel has an arrangement with parkings ousitde the city center - which works perfect - and you wil have to walk from the parking area to the hotel. the distance is not really a problem... but it is not a flat city.

“Top spot”

We drove into town and had trouble finding the pre booked parking spot. We rang the hotel & Michelle was really helpful and sent a gentleman to meet us & show us where to park, then transport us to the hotel, which is smack bang in the town square. We drove into town and had trouble finding the pre booked parking spot. We rang the hotel & Michelle was really helpful and sent a gentleman to meet us & show us where to park, then transport us to the hotel, which is smack bang in the town square. As there is no lift & we were on the 3rd floor, we were so relieved when our driver carried our heavy bags to the room door. Room fantastic & clean, only issue was the very low shower head. Restaurant & bar was great with the added touch of a electric piano player. Restuarant breakfast, dinner & drinks great & served by a very hospitable 'Prokop', who not only offered great service but was also very entertaining with his jokes...highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is right on the town square in a beautiful town. Had rooms in the old section of the hotel and they were large and comfortable and for less than £100 for a double, (which included breakfast, parking and a bottle of Prosecco), it represented really good value. Only issue we had was pre check in when we emailed a couple of times about parking but got no response, once at the hotel though we had no problems at all.

Stayed here on the weekend during which the yearly Five-Petalled Rose Festival took place. Girl at the reception was awesome, with a caring and kind attitude - great first impression. Location is perfect as it's right in front of the main square. What surprised me compared to other hotels was actually a fabulous selection of breakfast items - there was fish, sausages, eggs, veggies, even caviar and fruit. Room was perfectly clean and during the night (22:00-00:00) it's quiet enough despite live music and other festivities happening right outside, as long as the window is closed. Minibar in the is absolutely packed with things as long as you're willing to pay for it! We grabbed a wine bottle from the wardrobe above the fridge, and were told at check out during payment that apparently people just steal those without paying, which can say a lot about some of the guests. We also got a surprise knock on the door to receive a full bottle of Prosecco with 2 glasses which we enjoyed during the 2 evenings. Only cons that I could find that may or may not bother other people: we did not have AC, but this was not a problem for us as it was neither too cold nor too hot. Second thing is that there is no elevator, so perhaps someone less capable may find it bothersome, for me it wasn't a problem. And third is that walls seem quite thin and you can often hear other people, e.g. showering or plugging things in/out. Lastly, blinds/curtains kinda still let the light through and don't completely block it out, which may be a problem for light sleepers. If you're traveling here for the festival that takes place in June, and probably at any other time, this place is worth staying at!
