Lovely lodge, under floor heating works well. Beds amd bedding not the best, but otherwise had everything we needed in lodge. So many activities on sight. Adults played padel and badminton. Family went bowling and played Shuffleboard. Our son did rock climbing, bungy trampolining and absolutely loved the swimming pool and soft play. My son and his Nana loved finding the clues to solve and collecting their prizes! We didn't manage to try all activities on offer, hopefully next time. Make sure you buy the gold wristband so you can book things easily. We had snow in Feb which added to the fun. Espresso House coffee and cake was delish! Only had bad coffee at airport! Take away pizzas were really good next to Espresso House. And we ate at Bones and had a take away from there and we were really pleased with both meals. We will be returning.

Pros: 1. Near Legoland and our accommodation 2. We spend the whole day here as day guest as there’s plenty of things to do for all ages. 3. Love the outdoor heated jacuzzi, then we plunged into the cold outdoor swimming pool, then back again to the heated jacuzzi. It was a great feeling! 4. They have infrared sauna and big family sauna which I was culturally shocked that kids are allowed in. 5. Indoor Crazy golf was fun and challenging as it has plenty of up and down slopes. 6. Takeaway pizza was delicious! Bambino restaurant had Italian, Mexican, Pizza, Roasts, various buffet food to choose from. 7. Helpful staff and lockers provided in the changing room. Cons 1. Some of the equipments for the slides looked like it needs replacement I.e the blue and black foams you use to slide down the water slide looked like it had black moulds or wear and tear. 2. Hair dyers in the bathroom did not work. 3. More closed shower cubicle (only 2 available) to be provided as not everyone is happy to be naked and have a shower in front of other strangers in the communal shower. 4. Food and drinks are not allowed in the Aquadome so you have to purchase food there. Expensive but that’s a given. Be ready to spend around £100 just for food if you’re spending a day for a family of 3 at Lalandia!

Stayed for 4 nights during the Easter holidays. A good holiday destination with excellent accommodation, but could do with some changes. Overall I'd recommend, but pros and cons are below. Pros Lodge: great accommodation (classic plus 4) with lots of space, great storage, good well maintained lodge. Comfy beds, radiators in bedrooms and underfloor heating in lounge/hall, all of which we switched off as it was a pleasant spring temperature. Good kitchenware and oven so easy to cook anything. Quiet in the evenings. The lodge was the best part of this site. Site: our lodge was a 15 min walk from the main building which was fine, and there were good quality playgrounds all the way along the walk. We didn't do it in the dark but it appeared to be well lit with street lights. The main building had plenty of shops and eateries as well as helpful staff. We didn't use any of the extras e.g. mini golf. There is no bike hire available, but this would be a good place for bikes/scooters for kids. Location: so ridiculously close to the airport, Legoland, Lego house, and Billund centre. 25mins is the longest walk you'd do (from the main building) which would get you to the Lego house. We did this via the play.line which has lots of different sculptures etc along the way. Uber or bus to airport with luggage. Note that buses only take cash on board. Cons Aquadome: the aquadome didn't quite meet expectations somehow. It feels a bit dated, and is in need of some renovation in places. However, the main issue is the overcrowding. Every part of it was busy, and some areas were dangerously so. The outdoor heated pool had so many people it was standing room only! I've never seen anything quite like it. It felt like being at a teenage pool party. The whole place is also incredibly slippery. Even if you walk slowly, you will still slip, so be aware of this if you have any mobility or other issues which would be impacted by this. Thankfully this wasn't the main purpose of our stay, and was just an added extra bonus really. We used it twice during our 4 days, for around 1 hour at a time. Please do note, that if you have younger children, they won't be able to go on any of the 'big' slides so do check the height restrictions. Road train: this seemed like a sensible idea. A road train which pootles up and down the spine road of the site. The reality is different. We didn't use it on day one because a quick 15min walk was fine. However when a member of our party sprained their ankle on day 2, we headed to the train stop at the end of the line closest to our lodge. Unfortunately there are only 3 (I think) carriages, and a lot more passengers than it can handle. People squish on dangerously, think the London tube but as if it could topple over at any moment, and you're about there. It gets so full, that everyone waiting physically can't get in, and people try and fail to squeeze in, so have to get off again. A lot of guests also get on the downwards train at stop two, and ride all the way down to the end before turning round and coming back again, just so they can get a space. Essentially, you cannot rely on this mode of transport, and it's pretty unpleasant if you do get on. If you have a mobility issue then definitely have a plan B in place. Unfortunately for us, this wasn't possible with an unexpected sprain! Night sky: very strange permanent night sky within the dome, so when you are in the shops/restaurants in there, there is a twilight level of light, which is a bit weird! But totally down to personal preference, I expect some people love it. Overall, I'd recommend a stay here and I would return, but I wouldn't go if the aquadome was going to be the focal point of the holiday, I'd use it as a base for visits to other sites, with the added bonus of the pool.

The positives: The Aquadome is amazing and the slides are great, with no queues. The bowling was fun and well organised. The beds are comfortable It’s a very peaceful place with very little noise. Would be even better if: There was a toaster There were some cereal bowls There were some appropriately sized mugs rather than tiny ones The pillows were not old and lumpy There was some storage in the children’s bedroom There were some bedside tables We stayed at lalandia for a week with our two children aged 7 and 11. We enjoyed our stay but overall I feel it does not represent value for money. The accommodation is very basic which I was expecting, but there are some things I consider essential which are missing. There is only one very small, tall and thin cupboard with only one shelf in the children’s room which meant they had no where to store their clothes for the week. There are no bedside tables in the adult room. The kitchen was all ok except there is no toaster. We ordered the linen package and whilst the sheets were clean and pressed, there had clearly been a black dog in the property before us and so everything (the mattress and bed itself) were covered in black dog hair, so that when I made the children’s beds everything became covered in black hair which was very unpleasant. My husband has MS and although we asked twice to be placed close to the facilities we were still 1km away which meant he found he couldn’t access the main building on some days as he cannot walk far and had to stay at home. If you had a car this wouldn’t be a problem. There is a little train but its infrequent and always full, I would not recommend the mini golf if you have young children- our 7 year old loves mini golf usually but this course is exceptionally tricky wit lots of the holes on the top of slopes and he just got really frustrated! It is good fun for adults though. All of the staff we experienced were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Overall I would not recommend staying here, as the accommodation is not value for money, but would visit for one day instead as the Aquadome is excellent.
