Ideal hotel for travellers who want to visit Billund, but want a hotel experience rather than Lalandia. Location is great - 10 minutes from the airport (taxi, or bus/short walk), 10 minutes walk to Legoland, 10 minutes walk to Lalandia entrance and 15 minute walk through the sculpture park to Lego House. The included breakfast is fantastic. Full hot and cold buffet with various drinks. There was a small shop for drinks, prepared meals and snacks. We went to the bar and fell for the price of a large beer being worse value than the small (just order 2 small). There isn't much atmosphere in the bar/reception area so going over to Lanandia for a drink is more fun. There are some lovely common areas downstairs and we had the pool area to ourselves during the day. It seemed to get busier in the evenings when families returned from Legoland and Lego House so I'd suggest day time for a more relaxing time. We had a terrace room and it was fine. Quite basic but it was warm and cosy. We'd seen some tips online and took our own mugs, tea bags and milk sticks. We were also able to cast our streaming services from our ipad/phone to the large TV. The room was set up for 4 on arrival, and we were a couple so I put the sofa bed away so we had somewhere to sit and a bit more space. One thing we did notice is that daily housekeeping is limited to emptying the bin, changing the towels and stocking up the toilet roll. Don't expect beds to be made, tea tray to be restocked or cleaning. Apparently that's industry standard in Denmark now but I do like to come back to a clean room.

“Perfect for Legoland visitors”

Perfect location for Legoland and lalandia. Perfect location for Legoland and lalandia. Room was basic but as we were planning to visit Legoland we weren’t planning on staying in our room much, the only thing I will say is there was VERY limited storage for belongings especially as a family of 4, we had three shelves and 4 coat hangers. Breakfast was great lots of variety. I thought it was a bit unfair you had to book a time so far in advance. The restaurant felt a little chaotic and unorganised but could be due to being busy. We had requested a high chair but it wasn’t always available which wasn’t great for our 7 month old son. The part we found a bit confusing was there was no restaurant for the evening, you could buy fresh meals and microwave them but no actual restaurant- I would advise you to eat elsewhere for evening meals. Pool is nice, no lifeguard but all this is made clear, kids enjoyed it- towels available from reception no extra charge.

I think the photos used on the website give a completely different idea of what the hotel is actually like. Some areas of the hotel are better than others. I think the photos used on the website give a completely different idea of what the hotel is actually like. Some areas of the hotel are better than others. They seem to have made a lot of effort with the breakfast area and gym but the rest of it needs updating. The rooms have no air conditioning and are very dark with 90’s brown furniture, hard mattresses, plastic bathrooms (ours smelled a bit of urine probably due to the shower curtain being right by the toilet and it being wet room style) and dim lighting. The curtains look highly flammable and just add to the dinginess of the room along with the weird ceiling tiles. The room looked nothing like it looked in the pictures. There is no restaurant at the hotel and it only serves breakfast. There is a sort of longe area but the chairs are very uncomfortable and there is nowhere nice to relax. I would also note that the image of the pool is very misleading as it is essentially a small square pool and they have photographed half of it in the photos to make it look much bigger. I wasn’t aware that daily cleaning is no longer a thing in Denmark so we had dirty cups, a dirty bathroom and wet towels whilst we were staying. There was nowhere for the towels to dry. Overall I was very disappointed with the hotel and it is not somewhere I would recommend.
