Nice and quiet location, good parking area also with the camper. Waterpark was great, crazy slides! We enjoyed. Nice clean rooms with city view. We first got 3 rooms side by side but when we asked an extra bed for our daughter they placed our room to the other side of the hotel. I don't know why 'cause they could do the bed from the sofa in any room. Short walk to the pool area from the room. It would've been a bonus to have alcohol service at the pool area. Very very good breakfast, expecially gluten free! I was delight! Thank you! P.S. Great food and service at the O'Learys!

“Children love the spa. Moisture damage in the hotel. ”

We spent two nights in the hotel. We've been here many times during the past ten years because my daughter loves the spa. She especially likes the cold pool outside, the water slides and this time there was a swirl in one of the caves! My daughter would give four stars for the spa. But then the hotel.. We were on the fourth floor now for the first time. The rooms are nicer up there. A bath tub, a big soft bed and a big tv. The minute I put my head on the pillow I started coughing. Then my daughter, and her friend. The coughing was so intense that the girls ran to the toilet to vomit. It felt like breathing sand. We went to the lobby and got really good service. We got hot chocolates and a new room. The new room was further down the corridor and on the other side. We stopped coughing and finally got some sleep. So never take room 407! There is probably some moisture damage. The outside pool steams over the buildings and the rooms facing the pool must be well protected. We loved that there was elf hunting in the pool area and an elf door quest in the lobby! But no one told me when I called and booked the room that the restaurants were mostly closed the whole time. It was hard to schedule the eating with two children. It's perfect that there is access to Hesburger from the pool area but it doesn't help much if it's closed. This was a big disappointment. Classic Pizza was closed the whole time. O'Learys opened at 5 p.m. the next day. This would be very important information when calling the reception and booking the stay. Breakfast was as good as always. (We still miss the chocolate fountain.) It was pretty quiet just before Christmas. We saw several pregnant women relaxing before Christmas but there was also a big bunch of young Swedish speaking boys running and jumping around like crazy. So much for the relaxing. Lots of small children with their parents. Nostalgic, just like us all these years. My daughter and her friend saw a big brownish snot with blood stripes in the outside pool corner and informed the staff. They did nothing about it, just said there's so much chlorine that it doesn't matter. There was a snuff bag in the inside pool that we lifted out. The corners of all pools are dirty. Don't wear swimming goggles so you don't need to worry about these. ;) We might visit the spa again but are definitely staying at another hotel.
