I had an amazing 8-night “bleisure” stay at Bob W Kluuvi for a conference and tourism. I’d be very happy to stay at this hotel again! I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Helsinki. If you are visiting for a conference being held at the Messukeskus conference center, Bob W Kluuvi is just one train stop away. The train ride is only four minutes from the Helsinki train station to the Pasila train station, where Messukeskus is located. The neighborhood around Bob W Kluuvi is FAR MORE entertaining than the one around Messukeskus, so you should stay at Bob W Kluuvi. Helsinki’s main transportation hub is just two blocks away from Bob W Kluuvi with all the trains, busses, and trams you need to go anywhere around the city and beyond (including the airport). When you walk out of the hotel, there’s a subway station entrance right there. If you go down into the subway, you will find an S-Mart, which is a small grocery store with everything you could want for your room. The hotel is also just a 10-minute walk to the harbor, where you will find tons of restaurants, cute shops, and an open-air market with street food and locally made handicrafts. This is not a typical hotel with a front desk, staff, and daily housekeeping. Your stay at Bob W Kluuvi is more like staying in an apartment or Air B&B, but in a hotel room. You do get one complimentary cleaning during your stay, with the option of adding more cleanings for a small fee. You can schedule the date and time of your cleanings. No need to check in. Your room code is sent via WhatsApp and is also available on your Guest Information Link. If you have any questions or requests, someone always answers you quickly on WhatsApp. You can also request an early check in or a late check out for a small fee. I stayed in the lovely “Roomy” room #202 on the 1st floor, which featured prints from Finnish artists that could be seen at the art museum around the corner. I had a view of the street, which is in between a corridor of beautiful, historic, large, connected buildings. Therefore, this is not a particularly sunny street. That was just fine since I was in my hotel room mostly just to rest and sleep. The room had a television, two large closets with shelving, 2 nightstands, a table with two comfy chairs, and a small sofa that pulled out into a bed. There were lots of electrical outlets and various lighting options. The two windows in my room were not ones that could be opened, and there was no vent/fan in the bathroom. The air flow in the room was not good. Fortunately, we did have a large (but quiet) oscillating fan, which helped. I would recommend that Bob W Kluuvi include a portable combination room dehumidifier and air purifier for room #202. The bed was comfy and had lots of pillows. The thermostat in the room looked like it was for heat only, which I did not need in June. I don’t think there was air conditioning in this room? However, I also did not need air conditioning in Helsinki in June. The blackout shades blocked most of the outdoor light for nice, dark sleeping conditions. I am a very light sleeper. I had my white noise machine with me for sleep time and rarely heard any outdoor, hall, or neighboring room sounds while sleeping. This room featured a shower only (no tub), with a detachable shower head that could be adjusted for the height of the guest. There was NO mold, dust, bugs, hairs, or garbage from previous guests.
