“We only stayed two nights and was pleased we didn’t stay longer”
We had previously stayed at this hotel about 20 years ago. We had a much better experience then. The common areas of the hotel are beautiful however, our room was decorated in dark woods and brown colors. The designers should not be allowed to design hotel rooms. “Hotel Villa Florentine is great, except...”
Fantastic views overlooking Lyon, but make sure you get a room with a view - ours was looking onto the street behind the hotel = lousy. We did enjoy the fancy (and expensive) dinner in their restaurant and also lite dinner on the bar patio.
