“A Great Hotel and a Very Enjoyable Boys Skiing and Boarding Trip”

We stayed at the Terrass Park in January 2018 as a group of 4 grown ups (45 yrs) and 2 lads (17 yrs). We all liked this Hotel. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast is good and it is warm and cosy. It is located about a 7 minute walk from the nearest ski lift and a 10 minute walk into Megeve centre. The central lift is around 15 minutes walk away but the Terrass Park has a 9 seater Vito minibus and they will take you and collect you free of charge, just arrange this at breakfast, an excellent bonus. The Hotel has a sauna and a hot tub which the lads used and there is also a games room downstairs and a heated ski locker room. Locally there is a Carrefour mini market, a McDonalds and a Pizzeria just 3 minutes walk away. The rooms aren't massive and the bathtubs are for smaller people but this can be expected in the price range. We would definitely come back here. Megeve itself is very expensive so be prepared to pay a lot if you eat or drink out. It also doesn't have many bars and restaurants. The only good apre ski we found was La Folie Douce on the Mountain which the 45 year olds were probably a bit old for and the 17 year olds a bit young (but loved)!

“Excellent location”

Really lovely location. There's a lot to do in the area, just a short walk away from the hotel. The staff were nice, rooms were clean, however a bit small, especially the bath tub was really small. I recommend

We did for a 4 day skiing short break. Rooms are clean, a little bit small. Very cosy fireplace with room for afternoon drinks ore just to read a book. Wirlpool was closed. Not chilly enough. We had half pension. Breakfast is very good. Plenty of choice. Diner was a 3 course meal. Good and very basic, but could use some more fantasy. Shuttle service to the skilift was never a problem. The walking distance is too far by the way..

Terrass Park is underwhelming. In every way. It has no "oomph" to speak of. The service is acceptable, but not enthusiastic. The common area has a small bar, which is rarely manned, and no guests hang out there because it's not so inviting. The rooms are clean, but the furnishings and décor are average. (A bit dark and dreary overall; bathroom pretty but not very functional. Internet mostly connectable and average speed.) The view from the rooms is too peppered with mundane chalets too be really spectacular. The location is quiet, but not as close to the village as it wants to be, and the walk there is supremely uninteresting. If you're in search of a decent place "to sleep", this one fits the bill. If you're looking for something with pizzazz or character, this isn't it.
