Such a wonderful few days here. The hotel is gorgeous, staff great and we had lovely breakfast each morning. We were a very short walk from the chair lift which takes you straight into the Saint Gervais/Megeve ski area and we were able to complete most of the area/piste map in a day and still get back for the last lift. (There is a hotel shuttle if you need it but not necessary for us.) Amazing walks/runs from the hotel snow permitting and very well stocked shop next door for room supplies, gifts etc. We got a lovely baguette from the tea room for our journey home. Nice informal dinner (fondu) in the Bistro then finer dining in main restaurant. One thing to note is these are only places to eat within walking distance and we wouldn't have wanted to eat at either twice. We got take away pizza our final night and the hotel were superstars and went to collect if for us and brought it to our room! Visited the spa each evening which was lovely after long days skiing. Great hotel - would definitely go back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else!

The Armancette is an exceptional hotel, nestled in the quaint village of St Nicolas within easy walking distance of the slopes. It is a very high quality hotel, with attention to the details that matter, meeting expectations of what a high end hotel should deliver. The staff are wonderful, friendly, polite, efficient and extremely helpful. The food is of a very high standard and we enjoyed eating in the Bistro and their excellent breakfast. If you are looking for a high end experience, the Armancette delivers, and I have no hesitation to recommend it.

We had an exceptional stay at Armancette and it genuinely stands out as one of the most relaxing and well-run ski hotels we’ve experienced. With only 19 rooms, the hotel feels incredibly exclusive and calm. It’s always warm and welcoming, and you rarely see crowds anywhere in the hotel. Everything is designed for comfort and convenience. You can move easily from your room straight to the spa or restaurants without hassle, which makes the whole stay feel effortless. The staff are truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like VIP guests. A special shout-out to Jason, Moritizo, Gabrielle, and Noelli (and the rest of the team whose names I didn’t catch). Nothing was too much trouble. They organised everything for us including ski passes, restaurant reservations, and shuttle transport to nearby areas. The attention to detail was exceptional, even leaving lovely gifts for the kids in the room on arrival. The rooms are stunning with a real luxury feel. Highlights included: • A large TV rising electronically from the end of the bed • High-end electronic Japanese-style toilets • Beautiful finishes throughout The spa facilities are fantastic, with indoor and outdoor pools, a jacuzzi, and a state-of-the-art gym. After skiing, it’s the perfect place to unwind. For skiing, the location is ideal. The hotel is just a few steps from the chair lift, and the dedicated ski locker room (allocated on arrival) with heated boot warmers makes everything very smooth and organised. The surrounding village is quiet, picturesque, and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing alpine stay. Downsides (minor but worth noting): • Limited food options locally • Around 20 minutes from the main town for shopping and additional restaurants • Very quiet at night, which may not suit those looking for nightlife Overall, the combination of the boutique size, incredible staff, and thoughtful luxury touches makes this hotel a real standout. If you’re looking for a calm, high-quality ski stay where everything is taken care of, Armancette is hard to beat.

Despite pleasant service this was a disappointing stay. The hotel is beautifully designed but suffers the classic problem of the style preferring form over function and so offered less comfort than you might expect as this price. For example there is only a small lounge with high hard chairs and no bar. The bistro restaurant is in a building over the road and while the food was excellent it has to be eaten on hard wooden chairs at a small wooden table. The bedroom is small and packed in with very little room for storage, and a ridiculous Japanese toilet with a remote control that requires a degree in computer science to operate. The bathroom has a silly shallow bowl with no plug so you can’t dip your hands or face into the water and there is no shelf space , or space around the bowl for your toiletries. And why does the hotel put useless items like shoe horns and cotton buds in the room when some milk for tea and coffee would have been more helpful, The below ground garage works well and the spa is fine ( except there are too few chairs to relax in for the number of people using it, again due to lack of space). Overall everything too squeezed in and without any aura of luxury, Also, be aware the village is tiny and with nothing to do outside the hotel, We had booked in for three nights but left after one .
