Location: It was the Gallo-Romans who first put Besançon on the map recognising its strategic position as a gateway to Italy, the Alps and the Rhine. In the 18th century Besançon became known for its clock-making, but industry today is largely centred around precision engineering. “ENJOYABLE STAY”
A very warm welcome; very comfortable bed and the room was spotlessly clean; The evening meal on the first night was the best we have ever had in a Campanile in numerous years; Sadly some people want champagne for lemonade prices and their reviews are based on that.

“Very good”
I’m happy with my stay . I am happy with my stay, comfort in the room and the best thing is the adaptation in this period of Covid,For restaurant . We can eat in the room , the menu is good . We don’t have to go out to find something to eat especially since it’s curfew .

“Rather disappointing.”
I arrived at the hotel at about 7 pm after a very long drive, and was looking forward to a relaxing dinner with maybe a little wine. Amazingly, I found that the restaurant was closed! “Good service, rooms need renovation”
We stayed for one night on our way home from vacation. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The Restaurant is nice and the food was good and moderate priced. The room was clean but definitely needs a major overhaul.
