We were a party of 10 on our annual ski holiday. We were not disappointed. We arrived a few hours before our check in time but were directed to the bar area where we could relax and have a drink and some food. Booking in was easy. My room was on the first floor, the same level as the bar and restaurant, just a 20 meter walk across the court yard. I was a single occupant but the room could sleep three, there was plenty of room for storage etc. Bathroom was clean and had a bath tub which was nice. A word of warning though, the baths are deep and three of our party ( all over 60) struggled to get out, which was quite funny . Breakfast was the usual fare, plenty of coffee and juice, English and continental all excellent. Dinner was 3 courses and everything was excellent, there was always an alternative if you didn't eat what was on the menu, such as fish. The bar was comfortable with a couple of TV's and a games room although the service could be slow at times, not anything to worry about though. The Gondola up to Meribel was a two minute walk from the hotel with a 25 minute ride up the mountain. Once in Meribel it was a 300 meter walk to the Boot room that we had hired lockers in, ( much better than wearing your boots to and from the hotel.) In summary, Brides les Baines is a great base for your trip, my analogy is that you get Harrods Skiing for Lidl prices, the whole of the 3 valleys is easily accessible. Now to the most important part of any hotel stay for me, the staff. Everybody was excellent, from the reception staff to the bar/restaurant staff they were all very polite and helpful especially Claire who was very funny. The big question, would I stay there again, Yes Yes Yes without a doubt.

“Excellent value for money, friendly, comfortable hotel.”

Technically not the closest hotel to the gondola but almost. Comfortable spacious room. Restaurant and bar are in the adjoining hotel which entails a short (30m) walk across a flat roof. Technically not the closest hotel to the gondola but almost. Comfortable spacious room. Restaurant and bar are in the adjoining hotel which entails a short (30m) walk across a flat roof. The evening meals are excellent, 3 course set. Breakfast is of a high standard. Cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Hot food is limited to sausage, scrambled (powdered) egg, and beans. Toast and boiled eggs (DIY) also. The bar is busy après ski and full of locals. Pool table and 2 TV's usually showing sport. Staff are friendly. I travelled with Crystal Ski. Flights to Grenoble from Edinburgh, avoiding the Geneva madness, transfer, and rep. Excellent value for money. Getting to the slopes is a bit of a mission. About 30 minutes gondola then a walk of around 500m to the snow, depending on weather. I didn't mind this as it was a good chance to meditate and listen to Podcasts.

Stayed here as the Amélie was booked but the two hotels share an excellent restaurant. Our room was very clean and spacious and the bed wax very comfortable. The reception and restaurant staff in the Amelie were very pleasant and cheerful. We had a set evening meal which was delicious- the choice may be a bit limited for fussy eaters but my fish hating husband was catered for. I particularly loved the pork meals as the meat was cooked to perfection in delicious sauces. The buffet style breakfast had a good choice of food and drinks. This year we had a car so didn’t use the gondola, car parking wasn’t a problem. Can recommend if you are looking for accommodation in the 3 Valleys

“Faultless, Excellent stay”

The rooms are large, plenty of storage space & the lighting is brilliant, just so many. Bathroom excellent, walk in shower, hairdryer. I can't think of anything missing. Excellent choice for breakfast, although the dinners get a thumbs down from me. The bar is well stocked & run very well
