Stayed for one night with my party of 5 (three adults and two children) in two connecting rooms, a family room and a standard king. The connecting rooms felt spacious for our group. Between the 2 rooms, we had 2 double beds, a king and 2 bathrooms. The bathroom area does not have a door, so there's no privacy for those showering but we stayed only one night and so it wasn't a big deal. The room has plenty of charging outlets and USB outlets. There is a nice mini fridge, hot water kettle and a nespresso-like coffee maker. A swiss-army like tool was also available and came in handy. The location is very convenient to get to from the train station and the Christmas markets. After arriving from Paris by train, we took the D tram to Etoile Polygone, which is 5 stops. The hotel is one block away. You can also take the A tram, but the stop is a little further walk. There is a tram every 8 minutes, so we preferred to wait for the D tram. Pro-tip: if you are traveling with a larger group, consider purchasing the 24 hour tram ticket than is good for up to 3 people. The price is 10.20 EUR and can be purchased with the CTS Strasbourg app. The tram to the Christmas markets via the D tram is 2-4 stops depending on which market you want to visit. This was very convenient. I highly recommend staying here if visiting the Christmas markets. I would stay here again.

“A good solid product for many years”

Our second stay. Same impression as we had a few years ago: solid product. Nice rooms, spacious, tastefully appointed and - at least for the one we got - a nice view on the adjacent park and old town. Staff: friendly and helpfull. Our second stay. Same impression as we had a few years ago: solid product. Nice rooms, spacious, tastefully appointed and - at least for the one we got - a nice view on the adjacent park and old town. Staff: friendly and helpfull. Breakfast: good quality but limited choice - but nothing to complain about since we got it as part of our Bonvoy membership. However, I did hear someone being asked to pay EUR 20 for it - that in my opinion is too much for what you get, especially given their one coffee maker constantly failes so you end up having to wait for up to 15 minutes to get your coffee. Parking: none onsite and the spaces behind the building are "blue zone" meaning you can park max for 1.5 hours on weekdays (incl. Saturdays). They recommended I use the P2 complex a bit down the road - EUR 20 for 24 hours, a five minute walk from the hotel and the car was safe for the night. The one thing I would want to point out: their A/C seems to malfunction. Not that this is a big deal when you stay for one night only but whatever you press on the control unit, it either does nothing or what it is preset to do. So when we arrived, room was nice and warm. Without touching anything, it really got chilly overnight and when trying to increase temperature in the morning the thing just started blowing cold air for about five minutes and then stopped. As mentioned, not a big deal for us as we checked out but if you stay longer that can become an issue. Lastly, and that is nothing the hotel has influence on: Metropolitan regions in France have that so-called "Crit Air" system by which you have to get a sticker (yes, a sticker) for your car and stick it to your windshield. The sticker you get reflects the emission category of your vehicle. If you drive and older or classic vehicle, this destination (alongside with many others in France) is not for you as you risk to get fined when driving into town (not just downtown areas like in Germany) with a car that has no sticker or the wrong sticker. So make sure you check before your drive there. Another dumb piece of bureaucracy that essentially only kills tourism (note that for instance in metropolitan areas such as Nice, they are neither that strict nor that stringently enforced).

I stayed for 8 days for work and the scrambled eggs at breakfast were usually stone cold, at best lukewarm. Otherwise a reasonably comfy hotel. The bar has parties with loud music at the weekends until 1am, is disturbing. And the rooms have no desk space, just a tiny round table in the room. Hard for business travellers.
