Our stay at the hotel was something of a mixed experience, but overall it was still an enjoyable start to our honeymoon. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful and create a very calm, relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool area is particularly lovely and very well designed, making it a pleasant place to spend time. We stayed in a Superior Suite and the bathroom was excellent, spacious, modern, and very well presented. Unfortunately, the bed in the suite did not match the standard of the rest of the room. It appeared either very old or of poor quality. The mattress was sagging and lumpy, and the bed frame made loud creaking noises with even the smallest movement, which made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. The pillows were also quite poor. Similarly, the sofa in the living area seemed either worn out or broken. it was uncomfortable and made noise whenever it was used. Another issue we experienced was with the front door to our suite, which did not lock properly. It appeared that the door had dropped slightly from its hinge, preventing it from locking. To feel safe overnight, we placed our suitcase in front of the door. The technology in the room was somewhat inconsistent. The television in the living area did not allow us to use Chromecast, whereas the television in the bedroom worked perfectly. Despite these issues, I would still consider staying here again because many other aspects of the stay were very positive. We ordered room service and were slightly disappointed to find that we had to collect the food ourselves. Considering there is a €15 delivery charge, it would be reasonable to expect the food to be delivered to the room. The room service menu is also fairly limited. That said, the food itself was absolutely delicious. We ordered the mixed board, a cheese pizza, a brownie, and a caramel crème, and everything tasted excellent. The pool area is very nicely decorated and provides a relaxing environment. However, cleanliness could be improved. While the visible areas were clean, it was noticeable that the floors underneath the lounge chairs and coffee tables had not been properly cleaned in some time. It appeared that the cleaner cleaned around the furniture rather than moving it. Additionally, the showers had shampoo dispensers that were empty. On a positive note, the towels provided in the pool area were fresh and clean. The staff were consistently friendly and very helpful. At one point, I accidentally got some items stuck in a locker in the pool changing rooms, and a member of staff came to assist immediately without any issue. The website states that the swimming pool is for children aged 3–12 years, so I initially assumed I would not be able to take my baby swimming. However, I was pleasantly surprised that we were allowed to bring her into the pool, which was wonderful. Although I did not personally use the spa facilities, they appeared to be very nice. We also did not dine in the hotel restaurants or bars. We would have liked to, but our baby is currently going through a particularly vocal phase, and we did not feel it would be fair to disturb other guests. As a small honeymoon treat, we ordered macaroons and fruit for €18, which was a lovely touch. The macaroons in particular were delicious. Other practical aspects of the stay were very convenient. Free parking was available, the hotel was easy to find, and the location is excellent very close to Château de Chantilly and only about an hour from Disney, which was our next destination. Overall, while there are a few areas that would benefit from maintenance and improved attention to detail, the beautiful setting, helpful staff, and enjoyable food meant that we still had a pleasant stay and would consider returning.

Comfortable room. Pleasant gardens. Reception staff helpful. I speak French, and did so with no problem with reception staff. Comfortable room. Pleasant gardens. Reception staff helpful. I speak French, and did so with no problem with reception staff. However, I found one member of the bar staff in the Craft restaurant very rude when I requested bierre pressions. The same happened when my husband asked for vin blanc. This guy pulled a face both times to indicate how difficult it was to understand us. It is extremely duscourteous to a non native speaker who is making an effort to do this. The food in the restaurant was delicious. But again, it was very disappointing when the waiters hang about chatting and doing spinning trucks with trays. Not professional at all. I doubt we will be back.
