“Relaxing and beautiful experience”

Excellent premises, exactly the way they were described and shown in promotion photos. Service was superb and loooved the sauna and the gym. 💕 Location is great as the louvre is walking distance. The restaurant food was delicious. Give this hotel five stars of five. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I visited this Hotel with my husband for two nights on our return journey to the UK after visiting family in Germany. After a long journey, we received a warm welcome at Reception, and were given a glass of sparkling wine each whilst we checked in. Having previously requested an Accessible Superior Bedroom before our visit, we were pleasantly surprised to find it located close to Reception on the ground floor. The room itself faced the main road, and we noticed complimentary earplugs, which made us a bit wary about the road, or noise from reception, but we found that we never had to use them fortunately. Our room wasn’t the biggest, but the attached bathroom was a really good size. The bedroom, whilst being painted in dark tones, was comfortable and suited our needs. We also took the breakfast both mornings whilst we were there, and feel that most dietary needs woould be catered for. It’s worth remembering though, that the Hotel restaurant is closed on a Sunday evening, as are a considerable number of restaurants around Lens. There didn’t appear to be anything locally, as the Hotel sits in a mainly residential area, and we spent some time driving around the town trying to find somewhere open! We were later told by our server at the restaurant we did find, that you can struggle to find something to eat on a Sunday or a Monday. We do appreciate that the Hotel restaurant would be open on the Monday, but sadly the menu was not to our taste. The Hotel restaurant/bar area is welcoming and nicely decorated though. There is car parking for Hotel guests to the rear of the property, where we found one space for Disabled Guests. The Hotel is in an ideal location for English guests returning from holidays on the Continent, being located only around an hour on the toll road to Calais, so we expect a return visit at some point on our future travels.

Modern, corporate hotel near the Louvre of the North. Good, clean rooms, albeit bijou with gothic black decor, oddly looking out onto a slightly dubious looking housing estate, across from which we had to park our 9-seater minibus, without any security. This is strange as the back of the hotel had literally acres of sitting space, some of which could surely be utilised for parking. Friendly enough staff when we arrived on a Sunday, welcomed by a small glass of champagne. But inexplicably, the restaurant was closed and we had to get rather over-priced taxis into the centre of Lens to get fed. (As with some of my other reviews, yet another example of a so-called four star hotel not offering a four star service. My family were in catering for many, many years, so I know what I'm talking about when it come to stars and facilities). Breakfast was so-so, the most expensive of our trip, costing €22 per person and really not at all worth the money. Frankly, although good enough for what we needed, I think there are better value hotels in and around Lens. Just don't stay on Sunday night.

I drive from Switzerland to London several times a year and normally break the journey in Champagne but decided to press on and stop near the Louvre outpost in Lens and the Hotel Louvre is as the name suggests bang opposite the park. It is also adjacent to Lens Football Stadium and it might be worth avoiding a trip when they are at home. The room was modern and functional although there are limited facilities and both the restaurant and the room service offer was fairly uninspiring. Totally fine but probably not worth the detour unless you are going to spend the day at The Louvre in Lens
